An excellent Thai Meal, Very Authentic

If you know your Thai Food then head for The Black cat Restaurant. We go to Thailand and just adore the food. We have been to some very good restaurants in the UK and also cook our own. But this was amazing. The flavours were the absolute best. A great menu, excellent service. A wonderful red... read more

This little gem is our restaurant of choice most of the time. We love authentic Thai food and the chef ( Pantoon) is Thai. This is a family run business with all that entails, she is the only chef so service can be a little slow. We have been regular customers over many years because we enjoy the cosy atmosphere... Had a takeaway from this place and could not believe how much it cost. In anticipation I was hoping the cost would be justified. Believe me it wasn't. The Thai beer starter could have been an old leather boot chopped up. In fact the leather boot might have tasted better. This was followed by the sloppiest noodles I've ever had... More

Really good thai food. My chicken with cashew nuts and pineapple was delicious although there could have been more nuts. They brought a bowl of prawn crackers when I was waiting, which was nice, but in my opinion crackers need some sweet chilli sauce to go with them. The owner (?) was obviously familiar with lots of his customers, but... More

We had a lovely evening here, my partner likes Thai food, and as he drove he had the choice of where to eat on our first evening in the Isle of Wight, so me and the kids went slightly reluctantly, but I have to say we all enjoyed the set menu and was really pleased with the quality of the... More

This delightful little family run restaurant has been a favourite of ours for the last ten years! We have watched the family grow up over time and continued to enjoy Pantoon's delicious food ,she is the only cook so you should always be prepared to wait a while for your food . The food is simply delicious, tonight I enjoyed... More

We have eaten here on many occasions but not recently as we have found the waiter over friendly but with The Siam Pearl now closed and wanting a Thai meal we returned. As always the food was good, portion sizes are just right, a reasonably selection of food although fairy basic but a waiter who tries to join in a... More

We visited this gem on Saturday 4th April around 8pm. On passing by we could see that many tables had been reserved already and so had a feeling that this was going to be quality food. And we were not wrong! We booked a table in the morning because we knew it was popular. My partner had the seafood soup... More

We had a lovely dinner at the Black Cat. We arrived just before they had opened and were admitted at once. The décor was very pretty and the service was prompt and effective. The waitress was very helpful in explaining the menu and the dishes and talked us through the options. I thought the food was really good value for... More
