The fishermans cottage is a nice little pub, serving pub food for the whole family. It is tucked away behind esplanade, directly on the beach on a walking trail towards luccombe. The children love it here because we can sit outside and when they have finished eating, they can bounce around in the sand!

Ye Olde Pub. Great stock of ales etc. Right on the beach. The meeting place of many esp in the Summer months. Worth a visit : ) Nuff said!

We visit this pub EVERY time we are in Isle of Wight. It is tucked away, on the beach and does the most fantastic food. Always some lovely locals in and a real great atmosphere. Try the chips!

We had booked a group of 23, about 2/3 of the capacity of the pub. However, in order to serve us better, they closed the pub to other diners and just had our party for dinner. (Other drinkers were there). Service was outstanding, the food of high quality throughout and the beers and wines very good and reasonably priced. The... More

We enjoyed the fish and chips very much. We would have eaten here again but the atmosphere could do with being a little cosier inside!

Stopped here after viewing the Shanklin chine because we had heard it was good. Service was not amazing but was the best fish and chips we've eaten in a long while. Chips and fish were both light and chrispy and not too greasy. It was a bit pricey but we shared a portion and it was more than enough and... More

Dined here on a Friday evening - food only served till 8pm. Fortunately we were in good time! We both thorough enjoyed the Mariner's pie which was packed with cod, salmon and prawns and accompanied by salad and superb chips. Portions were generous but we pretty nearly manged to leave clean plates! We noticed that there were other fishy treats... More

Went here on a typical autumnal evening - cool, damp and blowy - and we chose the right place. They serve locally brewed ale (Island) and the food was excellent. The scampi portion was generous, and the Steak and Ale Pie was - well - forget about those pies that have a few bits of meat floating in gravy -... More
