Best Cream Tea!

Went with a few friends as I had heard great things but never been and was not disappointed! It was very busy but we managed to push some small tables together. Staff were so friendly and had a good laugh with them. My friend and I had the Victorian tea for two. The scone I had was huge and... read more

Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. My wife and I had a cream tea each and our young daughters both has a lovely piece of chocolate cake. The service was good and the price was reasonable. We all really enjoyed the food and the helpings were more that generous.

Just to add to other reviews great tea shop experience with choice for all tastes in the tea section, we sampled a muffin tea, cream tea and a fairy princess tea for 1 of my daughters. It was 'bucketing' in Shanklin, perhaps all over the UK but this place was buzzing like a little hive of busy bees - amazing and... More

We called in The Old Thatch purely by chance for afternoon tea and were highly delighted, both with the service and quality of the food and drink. We had toasted teacake and fruit scone with butter, clotted cream and a selection of jams. The scone was a lovely texture arriving at our table at a freshly baked temperature. There was a good... we had tea at this lovely little tea room. It was very well decorated with some lovely china and there is an outdoor sitting area in the back garden as well. The cream tea was superb, and the waitresses were all very friendly and helpful. My son was actually a little over-excited with his order of ice-cream, but no one... More
