The quaint setting and excellent food were enjoyed by my wife and I, and we would return if ever we visit The Isle of Wight again.

I would go back here but I would sit in the garden. I love chabby chic and chintz but this decor missed the mark and could be so gorgeous if an interior designer helped make it tasteful. Most people obviously like it though, so perhaps dont pay too much attention to me. The main reason I would sit outside though... More

Thank you for taking the time to write your review of my Teashop and I am glad you will be returning to sample the 'perfect' food that I offer. Just for your information which might be of interest, the Old Thatch Teashop is one of the oldest buildings in Shanklin (circa 1690) and sometimes when it rains it does give... More

The best cream tea ever! Set in a beautiful thatched cottage with a magical fairy garden nestled amongst the trees. The most perfect cream tea, 2 massive warm scones, jam, cream, butter. The lovely touch alo being lovely crockery with the old fashioned lace covers for milk jugs and sugar cubes. Staff were lovely and polite, having tried many cream... More

We loved this tearooms and visited 3 times in our week long stay. The fairy garden is enchanting, we were lucky enough to be able to sit outside each time we went, however the rooms inside are lovely too and each themed a different colour. The food and the service are excellant. What more could you want.

The sun never seems to stop shining on the delightful garden behind the tearooms. It is an Enchanted place and the home of fairies. The traditional cream teas, with fresh strawberries and home made scones are truly delicious and every visitor to the Isle of Wight should put at least ONE visit here onto their itinerary.

After trying two other restaurants which were listed in "the good food guide" only to find the food was ok but the service was appalling we were so pleased to find this place. The food choices were amazing, all home cooked, plentiful and good value. The atmosphere was really quaint with different coloured rooms, we were in the green room as... More

We were on the IOW and had past this tea shop many times and were drawn in by the "best tea shop" banner. I had a ploughmans and my wife had a strawberry salad. The food was excellent in a friendly atmosphere and very friendly staff. If i had to have a moan it was the price. I appreciate quality... More

I had lunch here with friends during my weekend away to the IOW. The building is beautiful and apparently the oldest building in Shanklin, as I saw on the menu. Inside the decor was like my biggest dream! Lots of pastel colours, shabby chic, vintage knick knacks and floral table linen. The theme carries on outside as we ate in... More

We were greeted at the door on our first visit and shown to a seat in the garden area. We had cream teas which were brought to our table by a friendly waitress very quickly. The scones were large and still warm. We returned two days later where we decided to sit inside this time in one of the coloured... More
