This is a relaxing tearoom serving a good range of teas. It has a cosy atmosphere and the staff were polite and helpful when selecting which tea to try. I imagine it would soon get crowded in busy periods. The garden is worth a visit and delightful to sit in with your tea when the sun shines. It was good... More

After reading the many positive reviews my wife and I visited the tea rooms this june.We found the staff who seated us at the table was rather sullen and seemed as if she couldn't be bothered with us.The cream teas we had were disappointing and as far as we we concerned had been over hyped .All in all a rather... We visited late morning & were so taken with the appearance, that although we weren't really hungry we went inside & through to the garden. What a delightful place. The Fairy Garden was a great way to use a space that would otherwise have been bare & uninteresting, the outside tables all had colourful table covers & were nicely placed.... More

How wonderful to have a proper cream tea in a room that could easily have been a Victorian parlour! Couldn't fault the food, surroundings, service or price!! Wish we could have brought this delightful tea room home with us!!

We stopped off at the Old Thatch Teashop whilst on holiday in the Isle of Wight last week. My wife had commented on the building as we drove past the previous day. They were very busy which is usually a good sign, and not just that the weather was not so good. The decor is very traditional and beautifully done.... More

My partner and I visited the tea room in August this year after seeing it when passing through. The place looks like a lovely little tea room, warm and welcoming. As soon as we arrived there was no one to show us a table for a while so we took it upon ourselves to do so. The place inside looked... More

I again refute this review if as you say you were on the next table you were part of this party as the Only next table was part of the same party. Regardless if you have an allergy of any kind it should be reported at the time of ordering. The food in question was immediately replaced at no extra... More

We stayed in Shanklin and often walked passed the tea shop so on our last day we went in for afternoon tea. It was everything we'd hoped it would be, very quaint and cosy with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The menu was very extensive and would cater for anyone's taste and the afternoon tea for two did not disappoint!... More

Well this place was a surprise. We went in expecting more of a pub type environment and stepped into another world of doilies and fairies. Such a quaint little place but so well kept and the fairy take garden captured my daughters imagination so much we have had to start our own one back home. The food is exquisite although... More

Thank you for your review of my Teashop and I am sorry 3 pancakes, bacon, blueberries, strawberry and syrup with a pot of tea was not enough, you could have asked for more and it would have been our pleasure to do this for you, if I remember rightly you are a very fit guy.
