From start to finish everything was perfect. Food cooked and presented beautifully, nice selection of wine and friendly knowledgeable staff. Will definitely be back, good work guys!

we arrived on a cold evening and it was warm inside....lovely. The staff were friendly. The food was excellent. I had salmon and it was cooked to perfection. My son had steak and it melted in the mouth. All four of us finished our dishes and all in agreement that it was superb. The price was also very good as... More

Two of us dined here for Sunday brunch with a gift voucher we'd been given for Xmas. Initially we decided on only a main course, but the menu was so appealing we thought we'd try a starter as well. Our starters were the goats cheese bruschetta & the duck rolls - both were just fabulous! We anxiously awaited our mains... More

The Fontana opened especially for a post-wedding pre-booked lunch for about 30 people. There was a very good choice from a substantial menu; food arrived promptly; very tasty indeed; excellent, friendly, attentive service; good wines, topped up frequently; cosy and comfortable. Could not have been bettered.

What a fantastic restaurant!!!! A pre-Christmas hangover of mammoth proportions, a seasonally sustained period of over indulgence...much of which had involved some terrific food and you have one last meal to join...your body and your mind wants a break...there can't be anything on the menu you haven't eaten in the previous week somewhere else. And then you walk into Fontana.... More

I have time and time again asked Fontana about whether or not they ethically source and stun their lobster. Each time they have failed to reply. I can therefore only assume their lobster is boiled alive. If you can live with that then enjoy your meal.

It's a few years since I last visited and I was excited to return. The first thing I noticed was that the restaurant wasn't particularly warm. I am always impressed if there's an immediately cozy feel when you come in from outside. Not so this evening. The menus offered were for either a set Christmas meal or full a la... More

Our party of four really enjoyed dinner off the fixed price menu which had adequate choices and was great value for 3 courses. Our mains included the slow roast pork belly and the sea bass - both to be recommended. The house sauvignon blanc is excellent!
