Simply superb

Fantastic restaurant with attentive, welcoming and efficient staff. The menu is varied and I was spoilt for choice. A great variety of dishes to choose from and I particularly liked the dessert menu. As a starter, the prawn risotto was amazing, I recommend that you try it. The restaurant itself had... read more

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, INCREDIBLE food. I had the goat's cheese tort to begin, the Chicken Curry for the main and the Chocolate Brownie with hazelnut ice cream to finish it all off. Absolutely delicious, and if you are ordering off the set menu, scandalously good value - a 3 course meal of this quality for £19.95 is unheard of.... More

I was fortunate enough to visit the restaurant on a busy Friday evening and the atmosphere was fantastic. Upon entering you immediately are at the pass where you see the chefs in action, and despite how busy it was they all greeted us with a smile and a hello, which I thought was fantastic. A gin and tonic to start,... More

A great meal, reasonably priced with a pleasant hostess and a lovely setting for a romantic evening. Look forward to returning and enjoying their special midweek offer for two with wine included in the deal.

I'm visiting this hidden gem more and more I find. The manager is a convivial and polished host. As fine dining goes, the place does little wrong. The wine list is extensive and well thought out. The menu is focused and not too airy-fairy. Food is consistently good, one star standard by anyone's judgement. All in all a very pleasant... More

Brought two old friends for a special dinner and it didn’t disappoint. Indeed, it surpassed expectations. Service exemplary, decor stunning, food fresh, local (where possible) and cooked with great care and knowledge. Good wine list. One of the best restaurants in Ireland, and it is unsurprising that it has been around longer than most. It reinvents itself continually and obviously... More

We didn't book a table and judging by the reviews thought we had no chance of getting a table! Wrong. We were able to get a last minute table, and greeted by very friendly staff. Service throughout was very friendly and very welcoming. The food was outstanding, great flavours and the fish dishes we had were cooked very well. Very... More

One of my favourite restaurants as I am never disappointed. The food is always of the most excellent standard and the service is second to none. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. Always a very relaxing experience.
