Hidden gem!

On the plane I was reading the inflight magazine about all the cities they visit and all the prime areas to do see etc! I read about a place called the bay tree and how they do the most amazing cinnamon scones! So I thought give it a try! Wow wow! They were absolutely fab! A wee knob of butter... read more

Stopped by today for Sunday breakfast, and weren't disappointed. Got in just before the rush and had a beautifully cooked "stack". ( mini fry on 2 sodas) Everything was freshly cooked to order and delicious. Will definitely be back.

I am disgusted. Have just been to the takeaway part of the bay tree (a restaurant I would go to quite a lot) and was confronted by the rudest girl behind the till. I asked could I order 2 salads to take away and she said"we'll we only have side salads" it's important to note I would get their takeaway... More

Great for lunch and snacks. Love the salads and amazing cinnamon scones. My favourite daytime place to eat in Holywood

This has become our favourite lunchtime eating place in Holywood and our most recent visit was probably the best meal yet! The brunch special was a delightfully spicy potato concoction - can't remember the details but it was delicious. The place was also the most crowded we have experienced yet the service was on the ball as usual and the... More

One of those places to visit as a special treat. At western end of main street, in Holywood, 200 meters from rail station, car parking 100 meters. Their specialty, cinnamon scones. Always seem to have just left the oven, always hot and large with it. I have never enjoyed scones like these anywhere. Range of main courses very good. Space... More

Was here some time ago and forgot to review. Even if it's only for the warm life affirming scones and a decent coffee, you really need to discover this gem. You won't be disappointed!

First visit - place was very busy but managed to get the last table. Service was quick considering how busy it was. Food was lovely & good portions. Good value as well. Will be back.

We have visited Baytree several times and have always found the service swift and friendly. There's a wide range of breakfast and lunch options, there's also an evening menu which we haven't as yet sampled. We are mostly drawn to Baytree for the fore mentioned scones. They are to a U.S. Style served warm with a knob of butter slowly... More
