Visited for brunch. In addition to great cinnamon scones they have a good breakfast menu and serve a decent cup of coffee. Well worth a visit!

Really very nice lunch. Mackerel special was off the chart, really good. Haddock was a little plain and wanted a caper or two. The service was slightly skew-whiff... My main was brought, left, then waitress returned to retrieve if from me again, saying it was for another table. Good job i hadn't touched it. Then my mum's main came, and... More

The Bay Tree is renowned for it's cinnamon scones but we came for the breakfast which was nicely cooked and reasonably priced. Only time I have ever had 3 different sorts of fried bread!

Enjoyed a magnificent, delicious Cinnamon Scone and coffee with my wife on Monday morning. I've been going on and off for 12 years; their scones are always excellent, if anything they've got better! Lovely atmosphere, nice fast service. A real treat to visit.

We have been to the Bay Tree a number of times, particularly at lunch & the cinnamon scones are lovely. So we were really looking forward to the Seafood & Sauvignon night & booked it months in advance. When we arrived our party of 5 was shown to a table more suited to an office Christmas Do & we were... More

Hello, thank you for your feedback on your recent visit to our business. I will begin by apologising for the delay in your dessert arriving, as this was a genuine oversight on our part. I also take on board your comments about the seating plan, however we have based this approach on positive feedback from customers who enjoy the communal... More

Food is beautiful whether you want a big lunch or just a scone and a coffee. Staff are very helpful and friendly. It is a little small inside, but just adds to the homely atmosphere.

Had lunch in this lovely restaurant in Holywood - this was my first time here. The staff were very polite and welcoming. We ordered soup and a Panini. The food was served very quickly and was really lovely, it was reasonably priced too. They have a specials menu as well as the ordinary menu and there is a good choice... More

Not having been there for some months, I thought I'd give it a go. The Cinnamon scones were, when they came, well there's no easy way to say this, dry and disappointing. Maybe it was a bad day, we can all have those. Will try again. Meanwhile guys get back to the old tried and tested recipe

We visited The Bay Tree on my Dad’s birthday after reading a favourable review in a newspaper and honestly I have to question whether the writer dined in the same restaurant. We were prepared to be as equally impressed as they had been but from the moment we walked in it was abundantly clear that our expectations were way off... More

Have had reason to be in Hollywood several times over this past few months and the Bay Tree was recommended for breakfast. I like to visit different places but after my visit to the Bay Tree I have kept returning. Their Soda bacon egg and mushroom is absolutely lovely, my wife has had the cinnamon scone a couple of times... More
