A friend recommended stopping here for a bite recently and I have to say she now frequently visits. The menu is extensive and clearly all made fresh. The wine list is simple but tasty. The food was rather large in portion size but with attentive staff and efficient service you couldn't ask for a better place to grab your lunch... More

Struggled to find anywhere to eat whilst on holiday and finally found this place on the last night. It is now my new favourite restaurant! Everything was home made, great quality, great service. Not only was the waitress overly helpful but even the chef came over to check that the food was ok and explained how it was made. What... More

We went in tonight at 7.30pm with three other tables in occupation. My first impression was that the place was unorganised. The waitress seemed nervous and uncertain. We sat down and were handed what could only be described as very tired menu covers (does not fit with branding of business). We ordered our food, each of us having sliders but... More

We love The Palm Tree! It's our favourite restaurant in all of Paignton, Torbay, Torquay, and we've had a lot of deliciose food. The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is amazing, and the waiter always charming. I recommend for everyone to try dinner here.

We found The Palm Tree on one of the quieter roads in Paignton and we were so glad we did! Fabulous menu and all home cooked. Staff were really friendly and suggested other places to visit - ie Totnes. Would recommend if you're not into the cheaper chain run pubs.

Visited this restaurant whilst on a long weekend break in Torbay with some friends. What a great find. It is not on the main tourist routes so you would not easily stumble across it. We were glad we did though. The service was excellent. Welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food was also excellent. There was a varied choise and the... More

Food cooked fresh and absolutely delicious. In town centre and we were only diners mid week for dinner. In fact the lights were off when we arrived so we thought they were closed. Wasn't a great ambience, however, the food made up for that. Top quality ingredients and fantastic chef. If you are looking great food then highly recommended.

We regularly visit the Palm Tree for breakfast & dinner, and have also had lunch & coffee here a couple of times. This restaurant is just what Paignton needs to inject that little something extra into the choices available in the town. Always a warm welcome, great menu selection and well cooked, thoughtfully presented food. Good wine choices as well.... More
