We came here because we had wandered around Paignton for ages trying to figure out where to eat and decided...well...at least with Wetherspoons you know what they are going to be serving, what the prices are and in general terms, it's not terrible grub! My son had gammon and myself, OH and daughter had steak. Steaks were spot on (rare,... More

Had a lunch. Have to say it was poor. No real quality to the meal appeared to be thrown together. We wonder whether this is the way Paignton is these days.

Very disappointing offering for Fish on Friday. The portions were so small that the fish was barely there. Just a pile of crumbly batter and skin. Sent the worst one back which was replaced but all three were unacceptable. Suggest you look at portion control, and put the price up if you cant afford to produce an acceptable meal for... More

Have been here several times and the place is good, very reasonable prices, good service and some nice local ales from micro breweries. located very central near to the amusements, ideal for a reasonably priced meal for a family on holiday.

I reviewed TOTT a while back and gave it 2 stars. In fairness I am doing an updated review as now I eat there a bit more regularly as it has got a lot better. They have a lot of real guest ales on and always let you try a nip if you ask. The food has gone from terrible... More

Our visit to Wetherspoons this morning on Torbay Road, Paignton ( The Talk of the Town) was an impulsive treat this morning. When we sat down we noticed that the bar and area was clean and tidy. We chose a meat free breakfast and eggs Benedict as our two choices. With a drink they came to under a tenner so... More

We have had several meals here and it seems to be a bit hit or miss guess it depends on whos doing the cooking. The food is usaully good but the service is always excellent and the drinks are reasonable so that helps.
