I don't usually leave a response but I have been to many pub chains and understand that every now and then it gets busier than expected. People leaving unnecessary bad reviews for a minor short fall through social media can be more detrimental than its worth. I have been to this wetherspoons many times over the summer and the passion... More

My wife and I are regular customers of Wetherspoon's restaurants and have used them in various locations around the country for many years. Consequently we are obviously aware that we should expect good service and good food at value for money prices. Whatever has gone wrong at The Talk Of The Town in Paignton? We went in for lunch at... Eaten a few meals here over the summer, some have been good (curry, steak), others less so (gammon). The service has always been polite though a little slow at the bar - sometimes serving people in the wrong order. Overall it's good value but as said a little hit and miss on the food.

Always good value, the local real ales were very cheap and the meals good value. When i was there it was very busy but they had enough staff to cope and were very helpful

We came here as it was busy expecting that meant the food was good. They never came to clear our table of the previous people's glasses, even though they walked past empty handed multiple times. When our food finally arrived they still did not take away any dirty glasses, and told my partner they would be right back with sauce,... More

It is always good to find a weatherspoons because you have a good idea of the quality of the food served. They always seem to be consistent and reasonably priced which makes a change from some of the other more expensive restaurants. The pub was busy as it was during the holidays so some wait was necessary but the food... More

This is the best Wetherspoons pub for meals we have ever been in. We visited in the school holidays and it was manically busy. We had a bit of a wait for our food but it was worth the wait. The only downside was that the desserts we wanted weren't available.

I usually avoid Wetherspoons having been put off by friends comments but 4 of us were hungry and called in as it was getting well past lunchtime. The place was quite full but we were immediately seated and asked if the table was suitable, which it was. The table was clean as was the pub generally. Having studied the menu... More
