Very attentive service, lots to tempt from the menu, including delicious starter of Mozerella with palma ham and rocket salad with parmesan on the top would go again if in the area

We visited La Scala yet again having seen some of the bad reviews on tripadvisor. I wanted to make sure I had not made a mistake, could it be so bad as some reported ???? Well, all I can say is, it is "simply the best" so much so that it is the ONLY restaurant in Paignton I would highly... More

Visited for a meal with my wife on Sunday 3rd august, greeted by the owner (I think) who was very professional and we were guided to our table that over looked the park. Restaurant is good decorative order and very traditional feel. We were served by a very polite waitress who also gave us a nice basket of bread (foc)... More

Visited here as we were in the area to try the food. The service was good, friendly and attentive and the food was to a good standard as well. The only thing which I mark it down for is that it is a little bit pricey. Definitely worth a visit

We went here after searching on trip advisor and walking through Paignton for something better than the various pubs available, and were so glad we did. Food here was amazing, the owner was very helpful and the place had a genuine Italian feel to it. I was surprised we managed to walk in a get a table, but he place... More

Having booked the restaurant due to its high Trip Advisor rating, I was disappointed by the fact that despite asking on the phone if the place was suitable for children, we discovered on arrival that they don't even have a childrens menu & didn't make pizzas either. We ordered them smaller portion adult meals. The food itself was fine, nothing... More

My wife and have visited La Scala several times in the past and were happy to record previously that Max and his restaurant had returned to its previous exceptional level of service and great food. Last night we returned again for our anniversary meal and were again blown away with Max's customer focus. We arrived to find our table festooned... More

If you have read my other reviews you may think I am easily pleased because I am generous with the scores, that isn't the case, quite simply I do my research on TripAdvisor and else where. I don't apologise for giving La Scala 5 stars because it is stunning. We were in Paignton because my wife was in the half... More
