Amazing food

The food is amazing, especially if you want a takeaway. I think the only down side to this place it the restaurant itself i.e. general decor (though un-offensive, just bare). But in my opinion the most important thing about a restaurant is the food itself, and trust me that is on point.

Disgusting! Curry was a congealed oily mess, popadoms were soft, coconut rice was fill of grated coconut. Never ever again!

After being recommended to this restaurant. I was disappointed. The food was watery and quiet bland. I ordered the chicken madras with garlic nan bread. I may return but not yet

Having enjoyed many meals at Himal over the past few years I am disappointed to report that since the recent management change standards haven slipped significantly. Firstly, it is no longer bring your own drink which was a unique selling point and secondly the food is now simply terrible. Having waited over an hour for our food I can honestly... More

Food was nice but nothing special had to ask for cutlery too busy taking phone orders rather than concentrating on restaurant customers

I last visited the Himal Tandoori in December 2014. The whole experience from start to finsih was simply delightful. From the warm friendly welcome to the gorgeous chicken swadilo i had and the modern but cosy ambience of the restaurant. Even the fellow customers were perfect. A thoroughly civilised group of people. The best indian food that i have had... More

Ordered a delivery at 5.10 and delivered at 6.25pm.on a sat night. They did warn it could take 90mins on a sat and I would never have a curry delivered normally but had a puncture and couldn't get it repaired till sun morning so had to wait for delivery. Had poppadoms, onion salad and mango chutney. All good though chutney... More

The Himal Tandoori looks like a take-away and would best aim at that. I wish to cut to the chase after our poor dining experience. Firstly we were warmly greeted by the waiter who had known me from dining at the Gandi restaurant formerly Dada (now closed), he was aware of my likes and tastes and happily took our order.... More
