Ordered takeaway last night. Was delivered within 20 mins but chicken balls had all mushy batter inside and chips very chewy. 2nd batch were delivered but tasted the same. Had no problems before this but won't be ordering again. There was a note in our delivery saying magic bowl are closing down in January?!

If you're arriving in Paignton by train or coach and feeling peckish, then this really is an ideal first stop to eat. Do not be put off by the uninspiring interior as the food is surprisingly decent and reasonably priced.

It was very quiet when I arrived, there was only one other customer but I was given a very warm welcome by the staff. The buffet selection was not the largest I have seen but all the dishes I tried were very tasty. The drinks were a little overpriced but overall it was good value.

Visited with friends and the place was empty with no atmosphere. Buffet was tiny with very poor choice. Staff turned on lights at 9.50pm to get us to leave. Save your money and go elsewhere.....unless you have a tiny apetite and like eating in silence!

We visited this restaurant on a saturday night at 8 and were the only people in there. This should of told us to turn around and walk out. The buffet choice was dismal. No crispy duck and the dessert choice was cheap ice cream, fruit salad out of a tin or some curled up sponge cake. I wouldn't recommend anyone... More

The food is almost like being in Malaysia yet it's great for the English market. Great price also for this food. Having lived in Penang for sometime I know what good food is like I would recommend it to try for a taste of Malaysia or enjoy foods you remember. Once again great food great price.

I've been to a lot of Chinese restaurants & takeaways in my time, and this has to be one of only a few that I feel are truly appalling. First of all, I've not been into the restaurant, but ordered from the takeaway a couple of times, and I can say that the prices are absurd when in comparison to... More

We go here a lot, have been since it opened. The food is really good, either the buffet, off the menu, or lunch, it is always fresh. It is right opposite the railway station, so if you are visiting, easy to find. The staff are always very welcoming, and we have never had a bad meal yet in all the... More
