By the title you can tell we were weekend eaters. Taken by friends andrea and nigel they used highlife diners cards which were accepted without hesitation at gallimores. Well serviced for drink and meal ordering, starters of prawns, spanish meatballs tasteful and well portioned followed by four mains of steaks and chickens. Extra veg brought to table nothing too much... More

After reading some great reviews online I had high expectations of gallimores. Sadly the experience did not meet the reputation, the staff were mostly busy chatting to one another, too busy to see me trying to order some more drinks. When the waiter arrived to take our order the whole process seemed very business-like, not what i expected at all.... More

We visited here last week based on Trip Advisor recommendations - we were left feeling really disappointed. We only wanted a light bite as it was lunchtime when we visited. I ordered a BLT and my daughter a cheese, tomato, bacon and chorizo panini. When the BLT arrived, the cheap bread was toasted to burnt and, in my opinion, should... More

in the summer months , dining outside was a very pleasurable experience, especially in sunny wigan.. beautifully prepared food, professional and attentive staff made for a memorable evening . went again last week, and dined inside, very popular, so booking is recommended. we will certainly be returning.

Should be called Gallimores "not so" Fine Restaurant. The key to fine dining is the food & the service, which is awful here. I would avoid and go to the Fat Olive or Franco's instead. Our evening started by being put in a corner near the staff workstation and the toliet. Then having to ask for our starters after waiting... More

Visited here twice lately and both times the food was of great quality and speedy service. Great wine to compliment the meal and very friendly owner. Will definitely be visiting again!

A really relaxed atmosphere at this restaurant - the staff help in this, being friendly and efficient. The owner, too, is around ,welcoming, and acting as a host should! The food is of a high standard and the menu sufficiently varied. Very good value too. This was our first visit, but we could see that many people were regulars,. We... More
