Well hidden restaurant serving excellent fresh food

Checked on tripadvisor to find somewhere for lunch. What a great find, up a small street off the beaten track but definitely worth looking for. All food cooked freshly and served beautifully. The premises are shared with a hair and beauty salon upstairs which had a few customers coming in the... read more

We found this via Trip Advisor and I'm so glad we did. Had a fab meal on Saturday, they have a tapas menu on the last weekend of the month, and all the dishes were great. Service was really friendly too. Would definitely come back if we're in Wigan again.

It is great to have such a great place in the centre of Wigan. The food has always been perfect & really lovely. Makes a great change from pub food if out in Wigan.

Well, I've just finished a fantastic lunch at the Red Door Bistro. Wigan town centre doesn't exactly shine with decent places to eat, but this is certainly the best in town. The menu can change on a daily basis, so you know you are getting fresh ingredients. We had mushrooms and chicken wings to start, which were beautifully served and... More

Five friends went on tapas night. It was really good. Great service. Prosecco glasses were put in freezer before serving. Nice touch. Iced water given as a matter of course. Intended going this weekend with other friends but there's a wedding there! Very disappointing!

Just literally reluctantly left the Red Door. The original Red Door, Wigan. 30/7/15 at 9.30pm. Oh my. What can I say what's not been said? The Ribeye Steak, come on? I pride myself on cooking a good steak, but,I'm not in the Red Doors league by a long chalk. The Belgium Waffle as been mentioned and quite rightly! Myself and my... More

What a pleasant hideaway restaurant, tucked away in a side street. The service was prompt and the staff could not do enough for you, they kept coming over checking if food was OK and if you needed more drinks. The food was freshly cooked and the portions were just right. The evening meal deal of 2 courses for £14.95 was... More

Went out for a meal yesterday evening 18th July, very friendly staff shown to our table and straight away brought a jug of ice water with lemon and limes in. Spoke with the girl taking our order about one of the meals being gluten free, this was no problem at all as all the food fresh and cooked from scratch... More

We visited on Saturday night as a group of 5 friends, we were greeted by a friendly waitress who directed to our pre-booked table which was ready and waiting, she immediately brought us a jug of water and glasses before taking our drinks order, we ordered Prosecco and Red wine, iced champagne flutes brought for the Prosecco was such a...
