They can cater for just about any palette give fair warning. The food is plentiful and top notch. I hidden gem that more people need to discover

Second visit for a sit down 2 course meal although this visit was a late lunch rather than evening meal like the last. We cannot fault this place. Service - friendly, welcoming and with a smile! Food - homecooked tasty filling beautiful meals! We will be back with our familys and friends and would highly recommend.

Visited on a Saturday evening. Service was inattentive and very slow. Food eventually arrived and comprised small portions of bland unappetising offerings. I requested a bottle of prosecco that they were advertising on offer and was told they had sold out. I wasn't offered an alternative. Overall very unimpressed and won't be returning. There are much better choices available in... More

We visited earlier this month. We have never been here before and didn't know what to expect. Inside is decorated lovely although a small place, it gives a great intimate feel which is lost in larger places. The food was all brilliant, the rump steak was the best I have ever tasted. A visit from the owner at the end... More

Four of us went yesterday recommended by friends. The food was very good and freshly cooked...and large portions! The staff were efficient and eager to please. A lovely welcoming atmosphere even though there were only 3 other couples in. Will definately be going again....have had food in Manchester not nearly as good as this for twice the price. Thankyou Helen... More

Hidden in a small street between Library Street and King Street is The Red Door Bistro. I visited at lunch time and was pleasantly surprised. It appeared to be a cross between a cafe and a restaurant. Whilst the menu wasn't vast, the food was freshly made and was excellent. The only downside was the temperature of an expensive bottle... A small group of us had a meal here on a saturday evening, food was good and service was very efficient. The menu is quite small as others have pointed out but there was still enough choice in my opinion. We never knew the restaurant was there before, despite being a 20 second walk from king street. Sticky toffee pudding... More

My boyfriend and I went to this place, one night in the week. It was recommended to us by a friend. At first I was a little apprehensive, as it's tucked away down a little cobbled back street of Wigan.....I was simply amazed by the warm reception you get from the attentive, friendly waitress and the culinary skill and delights...
