Somewhat disappointing

This used to be The Dicconson Arms pub' where my wife and I first met (at the folk club I was running at the time) so when Pesto refurbished the place we thought we must go back for old time's sake. The refurbishment is excellent and the place has a totally different but very pleasant atmosphere... read more

Went back to the Pesto at Dicconson Arms, Parbold, this time with two friends. We were shown a table and we asked if we could sit at some raised tables by the door. The staff duly obliged and could not have done anything more in making us feel welcome and special. We must have eaten nearly everything off the menu... More

We saw this place as we were staying locally in our caravan and thought it looked lovely and decided we would treat ourselves to lunch. The waitress who was not English but I dont know if she was Italian either, explained that they did a lunch special with 3 italian style tapas for £8.95 each, although she was a little... More

Great selection of flavoursome food at Pesto. My partner and I each had three dishes including meat balls, lasagne, chicken skewers, mozzarella and tomato salad and Caesar salad. Couldn't fault any of the dishes and plan to work through the menu! The decor and surroundings are comfortable and beautifully done. Staff are warm and friendly. All round a great place... More

We've visited this restaurant twice now and have been disappointed both times. Whilst the restaurant itself is nice and the staff are friendly and attentive the food isn't great at all. We ordered a selection of the tapas dishes and you can tell straight away it's been prepared somewhere else and just warmed up and sauce added which is really... More

Utter rubbish. Bought in, pre made frozen rubbish chucked in a microwave. Some dishes bland and tasteless, some over seasoned to death, non in the middle which is quite a skill. As if this has replaced The Dicconson Arms that had been there for years and years and made really good resturant food from scratch. Sacrelidge. Don't bother.

Menu needs to change more often , I am a little bored with it now.Plenty of food ,but, to many are deep fried or wheat based. My glass of Merlot was lovely and staff very polite .

We arrived at 6pm on a Friday evening and the restaurant was 75% full. Thankfully we had booked. Service was attentive but not overpowering. Food was good, well presented and hot. We went for the £8.95 3 dishes options and our son had the margherita pizza from the children menu. we would describe the style as more of an Italian... More

Went here for lunch 2 days ago and the transformation from the grubby old pub before was amazing. Really smart, upmarket eaterie, just right for this area. Had a selection of Italian tapas with a glass of house wine each.We had 6 plates in total, all quite small but really tasty dishes. The pick were the mushrooms, they were georgeous. The waiter was excellent and... More
