My husband and i stopped off here as didn't want a noisy pub chain and this looked lovely on the internet, and reviews seemed good. We wasn't disappointed. we bought drinks then checked the menu which everything sounded lovely, but we settled on Sunday lunch. our cutlery and condiments were brought to the table within 5 mins, and the food... Went here for lunch with friends. Myself and another had sandwiches which were pleasant enough, and another ordered a pasta dish which looked lovely and you got lots. The price was average but reasonable for what you got. The surroundings and ambience is nice. The only thing lets this pub down is the service is mediocre and slow and the... More

Been here loads of times and have also reccomend to friends, in the past you could not fault the place a real gem but of late something has slipped, tatty literally wet menus, slap dash service and the food? How can you justify ten pounds plus on a deep fried chippy sausage with a half empty can of chips and... More

Have been here many times for a bite to eat or a pint with friends. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Food is great. An especially find it satisfying sitting in front of the open fire with a real ale pint in hand. And all is reasonably priced, can bring your dog (an but dog treats) Just wished I lived... More

It was turned down at our request for 5 minutes but then came back up. Too loud also for the 20 somethings in the group. Told the manageress but her view was that you cannot please... More
