We went for our daughter's 18th, the staff went out of their way to accomodate the whole evening. The food was amazing, service 10 out of 10 overall it was a great night. We have a 7 years old and one of the waiter danced with her it was the highlight of the evening she loved it.

We were a party of 13 on an office leaving lunch. We reserved our table. Upon arriving we were greeted by smiley faces and shown to our table. We each decided to pay our own drinks bill as it inevitably gets complicated when it comes to working out the bill at the end (in our case anyway!). We ordered the... More

This place was next door to the travelodge I wa staying in for work, have to say I was pleasantly surprised, had the special, chicken stuffed with black pudding and it was very nice, staff were attentive and friendly, music was slightly louder than you would ideally like but didn't take away from the overall experience. I would come back... More

Deafening noise level in cavernous room more like primary dinner hall than restaurant. Service not bad but beer warm and just to round it off I left with insect bites around my ankles and calves that I hadn't had when I entered. For me not an experience to repeat. If you are harassed parents wanting to take under 11 yr... More

Great place. Lovely lovely food! Have been with friends, family and just my partner. So I think would suit everyone. Very good price! Can't fault it at all. Very helpful staff and if it's your birthday you get a song and a free dessert (slightly embarrassing) but good fun!

So I was in town visiting my parents, and they told me they'd booked an Italian restaurant for the night. "Great" I thought, "I love Italian food!". It wasn't until we were already on the way there they told me it was called 'Sambuca'. This was a bad sign, why would you name your restaurant after a cheap liquor popular... More

I came home to visit family as a surprise and connected to the travel lodge was a sambucca restaurant which I have heard nothing but good things. I approached the desk and asked for a table for one. It was clearly very busy and I didn't get even a smile. I was then taken to a table covered in salt.... More

Myself and wife have been here many times, and always found it excellent value. Much easier if you book as it can get very busy with students during term time. Parking can sometimes be difficult. We have found the food excellent and a good portions, quick service, even if we have gone as a family group
