Met a friend in Durham today for lunch and fancied somewhere different, not your usual chain restaurant / pub. We were intending to go to Zen but weren't impressed with the menu so came over the road to the court in. Firstly we loved the cosiness of the pub, I prefer 'real' pubs to chain pubs. We were impressed with... More

Called in for lunch, ordered a Ham Sandwich. Food came quickly and was well presented. Lovely thick cut proper ham, huge portion of homemade/handcut chips and a delightful dressed salad. I asked for a portion of cranberry sauce and nothing was too much for the helpful staff. I couldnt manage all the chips, and left some of the bread. I... More

Actually quite a busy place with a kinetic atmosphere and interesting decor around the bar area but its small size becomes its biggest issue. They are trying to pack far too many people/chairs into their tiny eating space and they simply can't cope. Food, service and space available is all compromised due to the greed of the owners packing as many people... More

Had a really great time at the Court Inn .There were loads of different groups celebrating christmas but this made no difference to the service and the food both were very good. Portions were a good size and the carvery was great , All in all a great time was had by all

Went here this evening for our works night out. A set price of £14.95 we pre ordered. A little cramped as it was very busy. When our party of 24 was complete the starters arrived.Very tasty!! Main course was served as a carvery. Had the choice of turkey, pork, beef, salmon and veggie alternative.. Do you have enough meat?? Plenty... More

Came here for lunch with some work colleagues. Despite being mostly empty (and remaining so whilst we were there) the staff seemed confused about where to sit us and were very slow with service, forgetting people's drinks etc. When the food did arrive it was very good, but the experience wasn't a great one as a whole.

Court Inn is in a beautiful location. Food was excellent, and lots of it, great value. Staff were attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. If you are in Durham, make sure you visit this pub!

Court Inn never lets me down, been there with family, with friends and for business and always have a lively meal. Chips are perfection, something to suit all tastes, from the every day plain eater to the exotic. Love it cant wait for my next visit :-)

It was a bit busy, hence a bit slow, but food was very good so I'd recommend it if you like nice pub food.
