I have visited Treats several times before and have always been very impressed by the quality of the food, drink and service. The staff, including the owner, Julie, always make a fuss of me and my guide dog. The food and drink are always freshly made and good size portions meaning the value for money is one of the best... The food is fab its homemade & the portions are extremely generous but the prices are some of the lowest which makes for amazing value. To top it off the staff are lovely the only downside is there should be more tables as its always busy!

Came here one lunch time and had a taste card so 50% off main dishes, I had a lovely panini with fresh mozzarella, pesto and sundried tomatoes. The cakes looked lovely and the person on the next table had a quiche which looked amazing, the biggest slice of quiche I have ever seen. Would definitely recommend!

Wow! What a lovely place! Great staff, great food at reasonable prices! Lovely friendly atmosphere ! I had scrambled egg in toast and my colleague had a full english- which were both plentiful and well cooked, coupled with a tea and a coffee and was charged only £8.00. I fail to see why anybody would go elsewhere in Durham

Whenever I'm in Durham, I always try and have lunch here at Treats. Be warned though, there is usually a queue at lunch time. They serve traditional home made northern food and there's always a vast selection of cakes. Portions are huge and excellent value for money! Can't fault it. I had the delicious homemade minestrone soup (which comes with... More
