Almost missed this upstairs, but so pleased we found it. This is a proper cafe! Bustling, the sound of china being moved about from the kitchen, busy staff but a bunch of characters, all but one smiley and busy. The lady serving us didn't seem to want to be there! But everyone has off days. We popped in by chance... More

Been searching for a place to get my coffee fix and I'm so glad my boyfriend found Treats! We were visiting Durham for the day and started our visit at Treats and it set the tone for an amazing day. I had the roasted peppers quiche and it was remarkable. Possibly the best quiche I have ever had. I don't... More

Stopped in for a bite on a Saturday shopping trip. It was busy but the food arrived quickly. The quality was excellent (I had a delicious French toast croque monsieur with thick cut ham) and a huge pot of tea for two. We would definitely come again.

A friendly little break for a piece of cake when shopping or walking in Durham. A bustling little upstairs cafe with a good selection of deserts, a huge chocolate fudge cake! And homemade treats. Would visit again.

Stumbled upon this place after a work meeting and I must say, it's a little gem! The staff are great, very friendly and not overbearing. Food is super tasty (good portions) the cakes are first class. I will be returning!

Went to Durham for a few days and nipped into Treats whilst in the town centre on spec - never heard of it or read any reviews - it seemed popular with a steady flow of customers entering and leaving up the narrow stairs so we went for lunch. Very small and tighly packed but the food was very good... More

I visited here in September whilst in Durham on business. I thought the staff were really lovely and I had the best omelette I have ever tasted. Stuck on a train on the way back to London I read the tripadvisor reviews and was very surprised to find anything negative - I thought they would have glowing reports. Glad to... More
