Lovely Tapas and Great Value

This restaurant is a short stroll from the medieval heart of the City. The tapas menu is extensive, so we opted for the set tapas menu for two, adding only some calamari, some water and a bottle of white Rioja. By far the best Tapas restaurant in Durham with a deserved reputation built up over years of excellent service. I remain happy with the offerings and staff everytime I visit. A little out of the way it is well worth discovering - so much more authentic than the chain style Tapas bars. Thoroughly enjoyable (as ever)

Having never been to this restaurant before and pre-booked after reading revues expectation was high and we were not to be disappointed. My wife and I had the set menu for two and a medium priced Rioja. The food was hot varied and extremely tasty. The wine was fabulous and the rustic charm of the building just added to a... More

Walking into this restaurant, there is a wonderful ambience about the place. Traditional Spanish music playing in the background and a not too loud hum of conversation. The staff were all polite and friendly. We had some sangria to drink, which was really nice and could easily have drunk several jugs. The place was however let down by the food.... More

This is my all time favourite restaurant in Durham , friendly staff and always amazing food . The service has always been exceptional and the staff always lovely but on our recent visit we found the restaurant a little on the chilly side and we waited for over 20 minutes for a glass of wine and our desert order .... We visited on a Saturday afternoon and were the only people in the restaurant. Possibly a bad sign, but actually this little restaurant is a bit out of the way - so maybe doesn't get passing trade like the city centre places. Our waiter was great and explained the special menu (3 tapas for £10.95) he even suggested that if... More

Visited here last night , very disappointing, every dish microwaved to oblivion, out of the 6 dishes we had one was delicious the lamb, one was nice the pork in blue cheese sauce, the other 4 were of poor quality, the chorizo in spicy tomatoes sauce had been microwaved to within an inch of its life, it was a pile... Situated on a road heading out of Durham.. This restaurant is a gem! Tapas is absolutely delicious, big portion size and so tasty. My fave being pork in blue cheese and garlic and chilli prawns! Sangria is lovely too :) A lovely restaurant in Durham, I would definitely recommend!

This is a really good tapas at a really good price. The staff are always welcoming and the food is always good. I come here every time I come to Durham. That is about 16 times a year. I would come twice in a week.
