Nice atmosphere

Have been here a few times now and left feeling satisfied every time. Pleasant food in a very cosy atmosphere. I guess the dishes could be more authentic but if authenticity is not your main motivation then it is certainly Spanish enough! Good portion sizes for tapas and staff are professional and... read more

Having travelled around Spain for many weeks last summer I was excited to try the North Easts take on Spanish cuisine. The restaurant itself is nicely done out inside with nice lighting and interesting décor. After being shown to our seats we were left waiting a while by a young Spanish waitress, when we were seated we were only given... More

Having read all the differing opinions on this place we decided to give it a try. Granted it was a fairly quiet Sunday evening but the service was prompt, cheerful and exactly as ordered. Now for the food. Having sampled the well known chain tapas establishments on a few occasions we were first of all surprised by the size of... More

The staff were very rude, they brought wrong and different dishes, we waited more than an hour for the orders.

I was not overly impressed with the food or the surroundings they were sparse cold & bare. I expected a rustic Mediterranean feel? The tapas in my opinion were not that great not like what you get in Spain. The exterior of this restaurant is not inviting either it looks really shabby from the outside so not inviting at all... Ate here yesterday. A lovely little restaurant. The service was excellent as was the tapas and it wasn't ridiculously expensive. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go again .

Second visit to this hidden gem in Durhams University quarter and I must say I enjoyed even more the second time, perhaps it was that I knew the "ropes" on this visit or perhaps it was a little less hectic on a cold Monday night whatever it was just fab. Firstly you know when you are in a proper Spanish... More

We were staying in the Victoria Inn opposite and decided to eat here originally as it was convenient. However, we were very surprised how good this place was! Great food, huge choice of Tapas dishes, and all reasonably priced. We booked as there were six of us, glad we did as it was very busy. Give this place a try,... More

I have been meaning to visit this restaurant as I drive past it often and have fond memories of it from my student days when it was called "And Albert". We went on a Wednesday evening and hadn't booked but we got a table easily. Even though it was early, the restaurant was filling up and it had a lovely... More
