They have a good range of tapas that I thought was pretty good. I am no expert but have been to Spain a fair few times, and if I were served these tapas in Spain I would not complain. Service is friendly. The datiles, basically dates wrapped in bacon, a bit like pigs in blankets but with dates not pork... More

Have visited twice recently and both times the restaurant was completely empty. We weren't served one of the tapas dishes we ordered but since we were full, we didn't mention it. When the bill arrived the dish was still on it. I told the waitress (in Spanish, as she was Spanish and I thought it might be appreciated), however she... More

We visited El Coto on Friday 28th November as part of a large group of 20, which is our traditional start to the Christmas festivities. The atmosphere, food and service were all excellent and would highly recommend this restaurant.. The Victoria, which is a great pub is just across the road.

We went for a dinner on the weekend, an advice: book a table, normally they are busy :) . The whole staff is spanish, and they are LOVELY. The food was really tasty and the price is really reasonable! For sure we will be back!

We went here on the off chance without booking, on a weekend away to Durham. This place has a good ambience and the best place to sit would be on the upper level of the ground floor. The choice of tapas was extensive and maybe we chose the wrong thing but having had tapas in Spain we thought that some... More

Lots of choice on the menu of both veggie and meat options. All reasonably priced. I would say around £3.95-£4.75 each dish and we had 3 each for the 4 of us. The restaurant is small but a nice atmosphere. the waiters were lovely but I would say they took our dishes away too soon while we were still eating... More

I was really looking forward to eating here as I had heard good reports. I am sad to say though, it was a bit disappointing. We had the tapas for 2 to share and it was just OK. The prawns were tasty and the olives were good but other than that it was all a bit average. I didn't like... More

Nice dinner, but we were in and out in less than an hour. We had a set menu for two and a bottle of wine, Food was flavour some, the meat balls I didn't Personally enjoy, same with the prawns. The waiting staff were hovering around removing empty plates the very second that we emptied the plates. Now this could... More

The service was perfect and they was friendly supporting me in my selection but they have some dishes not have enough quality like Manchego's cheese or Chorizo but the rest was perfect. I detected a mistake with Bravas' Potatoes because they have change name and not have spicy mayonnaise only tomato, if you want Original Bravas ask waiter because have... More
