Had been meaning to pop in here for a while and was really pleasantly surprised by the menu. I went for the vegan option: 'grinder' with hummus, olives and sun-dried tomatoes, served with a couple of dolmades. This rather generous brunch was washed down with a large glass of freshly home-made lemonade which was delicious. All together it was under... More

I had lunch here and loved it. The menu provided something a bit different from the usual sandwiches and salads. Everything looks very good and wholesome and they claim are locally sourced. I had grilled halloumi cheese, with hummus, and salad leaves, with stuffed vine leaves on the side and to drink, lychee juice. It was a pity I was so... More

A short - 5/10 minutes - stroll up Claypath from the market place, this little cafe is one of Durham's treats. They serve an interesting range of snacks and drinks, often using locally sourced organic products. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, and the clientele a nice mix of students, locals and visitors.

Perfect spot for good coffee, friendly service and home cooked food! Perfect location as a little walk from the city centre and off the beaten-student track.

Cracking little spot for sandwiches and coffee with friendly staff. I've never actually had the time to sit down in there but it looks and feels very relaxing and the food people are eating smells and looks great. If your passing in the car the only issue is getting parked to pop in.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Durham and well worth a walk up the hill. The staff are very friendly and the service is great. Both food and beverages are imaginative, good value and tasty. They have a lovely selection of drinks from a regular tea or coffee to homemade lemonade or lavender hot chocolate. Food is... More

Very average cafe, in need of a more extensive menu. The prices were very high. Sorry but a return visit is not on the cards.

Been here a couple of times, the coffee is the best in Durham and the food is very good. The two deli platters for £11 (on their own £6) make a great lunch for two people - great value for money. You get a lot of food of very high quality. More than fills you up. The goats cheese with... More

I regularly visit the deli as I work opposite and I am never disappointed ... The food is sublime ... Everything is prepared fresh to order and arrives promptly .. The coconut cheesecake is a favourite ... If you are in Durham I would highly recommend a visit
