Last night I visited this pub for my father's 70th Birthday with my family. Food was brilliant but was let down as it have no wheelchair accessible toilet I could even get my wheelchair into ladies toilet as the door didn't open enough. So it spoilt the night me.

Went with friends for the third time on Saturday 21 June 2014. For a pub/restaurant which bosts that it has a fully stocked bar it was disappointing to discover that they had no real ale available. Why !!! We then struggled to really pick something from the menu. We did & some of us were happy with our choice but... More

We have eaten Sunday lunch here for 6 out of the past 7 weeks and I have to say it is consistently excellent though not the cheapest around. My wife is recovering from an operation so we have been eating out on Sundays more than usual and the reason we keep returning here is that we always know what to... More

Have been going here for quite a few years and it's has gone downhill unfortunately. Ate here on a Friday night with family as a leaving night before I go away for a while. For starters the scollops and the lamb salad was delicious however another member of the party had the goats cheese panna cotta which was dreadful, the... More

Delicious food great service and friendly staff, would certainly recommend this restaurant. If you like cheese try the cheese board its amazing local cheeses. If I had a fault it was the portions were quite generous, my husband didn't object, he just tucked in to mine!

Go here often with friends for meals, but it will be a while before we eat here again The last twice has not been as good as usual. Roast Chicken with chips and salad - bit over priced at £12.95 - not much taste to the chicken and Im not sure what happened to the dressing on the salad. Same... More

The Castle Eden Inn has kept it standard over the last few years. The service is consistently good and the food is always fresh and well prepared. Called in for tea after a busy day, the homemade scampi was simply devine, served with a lemon mayonnaise a small salad and chips. Likewise the fish and chips are always good.

I visited here for the first time last night and I have to say I was very impressed. The pub is in a lovely location, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was just awesome! The best fish and chips I think I've ever tasted. We were not rushed and the time between the main's and dessert... More

Use the inn regularly as live in the village, food is always good with a nice selection of good modern british standards , The food is of good quality and locally sourced. Bar menu is good at lunchtime as well.
