I was moving on the way searching good food. Then the word "Gurkha" stroke and made me enter the restaurant . I was pleased with the hospitality and the service. Got to eat true Nepalese food and in a good environment. I enjoyed it and wish to visit it again. Thanks.

I assume every curry lover has their favourite place to go, and for North Devon the Gurkha is mine. I've been going here for the last 3 years and I've not been left disappointed (well they forgot a friends naan in a takeaway a couple of years back) The latest visit was amazing again, a takeaway which really hit the... Went here Saturday night, the place was rammed which is normally a good sign. Food was expensive for what it was and took around an hour to come. We were with friends so it wasn't a massive issue but we weren't told about the wait which I would have expected. The service was below average, and after we checked the... More

From our experience, I'd say avoid at all costs. Restaurant almost empty but service slow and sullen. Didn't come up at any point to ask if we wanted more drinks. Food appalling. Chicken I can only assume, was microwaved - very rubbery, unpleasant texture. Daughter ordered Tikka Massala but it looked and tasted like Korma. Sauces of all 3 dishes... More

This place is worth a visit if you want something different to you usual Curry. They have a great range of Nepalese dishes, the "Everest" is certainly recommended together with great friendly service.

Six of us ate here on the 28th of July. The staff as always were attentive but not intrusive. The food was fantastic and we all enjoyed our meal immensely. The staff are always helpful and accommodating. They even brought out a desert for the birthday boy.

Good service but ordered Nepalese dishes which were quite dry. Coconut rice not cooked in coconut milk, just normal boiled rice sprinkled with coconut. Nice place though and staff v attentive - could be amazing when ordering well!
