We stopped off here last year, we walked in and walked out it was not a place I would take anyone to, on the other hand we found a little gem of a pub not to far from there, the castle inn, impressive home cooked and local food, we couldn't ask for more and we have been back several time... More

(I haven given this pub 1 star because it has shut down) We were staying in Croyde for the week, and while driving around, saw a sign for this pub. It took us a while to locate it (following various signs through narrow country lanes) and when we finally found it, there were notices on the doors and windows stating... More

The variety of lunches is excellent for a small traditional country pub, with good taste and nicely presented in a dedicated restaurant room or in the bar area. The youngish owners care about the comfort and happiness levels of their customers. Definitely a place to take visitors who like traditional country Devon fare. The variety on offer for vegetarians is... More

Went as a party of 24, everyone had three excellent courses, good choice across all courses - the puddings were divine.

Nice setting, good food. A great place for lunch or dinner and some unusual Thai dishes.

We read some reveiws and decided to try it for Sunday Lunch as we could walk there from our holiday rental. I think we should have got the car out and travelled further afield ......The lamb had been warmed in the microwave so was aliitle curled round the edges, it was an ok meal but we have eaten better.

We have been here a few times over the last few years, and thought we would book a table to treat our nephew who we have been watching over for a couple of days. We booked in advance for the restaurant. We arrived, were seated, and before having chance to read the menu we were being asked for our order.... More

Food was excellent but the decor was a little dated.

My wife and I stopped in for an early lunch one Saturday. We'd eaten here before and have always been impressed with the standard of food. It was a glorious sunny day so we opted to eat outside. I ordered at the bar when buying drinks and the lady who served me was very friendly and we had a good... More

The homemade food was extremely good value and delicious, particularly the desserts. The serving staff were all very friendly and super efficient. Plenty of parking. Good pool / games room. Will definitely be going back
