Good value

Four of us went for dinner in May and had a very good value for money dinner in the evening. The service was good and the food came quite quickly even though there were quite a few people dining. Would have no problems recommending this restaurant. Also has rooms but I have never stayed.

We went to The Masons Arms on spec for some lunch and found a little gem. A varied menu, welcoming staff, and a cosy old fashioned feel to the place. A little pricey but we were in the lakes. A lovely run up the hill with stunning views over Windermere for any photographers out there. There is a well set... More

We were taken to the Mason's Arms by friends who live locally. Great setting, lovely traditional interior, good beer and fantastic sandwiches. The food being ordered by others also looked good. The service was also very good. What more does one want from life?

We had lunch and drinks here and, as always, The Masons Arms never disappoints. Sitting outside under the covered, heated gazebo, the views over Bowland Bridge are stunning. There is a good choice of beers and wines, and a good menu too. The pulled pork sliders were excellent. Always a pleasure to come back to The Masons, and, every time... More

This pub is another of the Individual Inn group, they are all very good and worth a try. The Masons Arms has a lovely outside seating area with fantastic views of the countryside. Food is of a superb standard with good sized portions at a reasonable price.Service is excellent, the Canadian girl is superb and will be a great loss... More

Thank the Lord for sat navs, couldn't have done this week without one!! Jotted The Masons Arms down after a side note by A A Gill as one of the best vistas in the country. We were on our way to the lakeside hotel so a stop off for lunch was perfect. It took some finding, we actually went to... More

What else is there to say....well plenty! The food and service are always great, there is LOTS of choice at the bar, the views are stunning, the bar area is cosy & offers roaring fires in the winter. Come here and loose an afternoon or evening...it's perfect!

So glad we have found this hidden gem. The food and service is amazing. Staff very good and friendly and views stunning. Busy for a reason so get there early. Lots of seating inside and out. They also have room to stay which look lovely.

My daughter and I stumbled upon the Mason Arms this afternoon and really appreciated the friendly bar service. We had underestimated our route and needed a taxi back to our car. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We ordered a very good vegetarian platter and coffee, and ate while our taxi was arranged for us. We left refreshed... More
