in my opinion. When I'm on vacation in a new place I usually eat in a different restaurant every night, but discovered Robertos towards the end of my week in the Lake District ,and enjoyed it so much that I went back again the next night rather than trying somewhere new. Great Italian style food, and very friendly service. The... more

We visited Roberto's on a Friday night and hadn't booked so went early evening and the staff were happy to find us a table. The staff were very professional and friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant overall was very relaxed. The starters were superb with the goats cheese and the pate exceeding our expectations. The meal was very reasonably... more

You have to book here to get a table but it is worth it. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The lady that greeted us (owner, not sure?) was welcoming and the waiter was very attentive and helpful. The food was absolutely great and not too expensive for what you get! I would highly... more

We went here on a Saturday night without booking. We enquired at 8pm but no tables were free. We were told to return after 9pm, which we did and we were immediately shown to our table. The food and service was excellent. I had a vegetarian main meal which was lovely, much better than your average offering of stuffed peppers!... more

Two savvy grandparents, a 16 year old grandson and friend, not yet savvy, enjoyed Roberto's, by far the best we found in Bowness. Good food boy's "best food this year" charming service and good value for money. more

Me and my hubby ate here last night. We had Tapas. Not the biggest Tapas menu (only down side) We had 5 of the 7 dishes. The food was well cooked and tasted lovely. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Total bill with wine was £51. Would definately return and try the tapas again or something else from the... more

Visited here on a quiet Monday, but still had a great meal. The pizzas are excellent and the main dishes are well put together and tasty. Meal rounded off with some excellent desserts and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Would hope to return on a subsequent visit to the area. more

My husband and I and two good friends visited Roberto's on Saturday 19th September to celebrate a special occasion and we had a great evening. All the food was excellent (my prawn starter and beef main were fantastic), the service was also great and very friendly and attentive given that the place was full. I had mentioned our special occaision... more

Visited this restaurant after reading the reviews on here and wasn't disappointed. My partner and myself arrived at 7pm on a wed night and within half an hour the restaurant was full and they were turning people away. Starters of crabcake and garlic mushrooms were lovely, I had the Raging Bull pizza which was strips of beef with a spicey... more

The food is excellent using great local produce, the service was friendly and efficient and the food prices are reasonable. All wines are priced at £18 and I think it would be better to price the wine individually as this seemed a little high for the bottle we had. This is only a small niggle and overall I would highly... more
