Very Accommodating - Brilliant Service - Fab Food

visited on the 23-02-91 - I couldn't fault the food, King prawns to start followed by Medallions of beef cooker m/r. Will definitely come again, I have already recommended it to a handful of friends who have never been.

After reading all the good comments we were really looking forward to our visit. Unfortunately is was nothing more than average. Never seen such a small menu in any Itatalian. The guy who served us lacked any kind of personality, almost felt like we weren't welcome. Food was ok but wouldn't return again, it costs nothing for a smile!

We were a bit wary after reading some of the reviews and due to the lack of website, but Roberto's surpassed all our expectations. We started with a delicious garlic bread and succulent prawns and then had the very best lamb shank I have ever tasted and a tip top seafood linguini.

We arrived around six so it was empty when we arrived. However it did pick up, lovely atmosphere, great food, happy and attentive server and the chef also came out to speak to myself and my parter as he asked for an alternate sauce and he was happy and willing to make an exchange as if it wasn't a problem... Saw the pictures of the dishes people have posted on here and was excited to try them myself but was quite disappointed. First the menu which is new - very strange. There's a few "tapas", pizzas and pasta dishes. Tapas bar it ain't - the choice of tapas is too limited and there's nothing much Spanish to choose from. Pizzeria... More

We decided to choose from the tapas menu at Roberto's and had a total of five savoury dishes between the two of us. All were to an excellent standard and there was a good selection of imaginative dishes for vegetarians to choose from. The goat's cheese and field mushroom was in our opinion particularly yummy. Restaurant wines in the Lake... More
