We reserved a table after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. Quite a small restaurant so we thought this was necessary. Really welcoming staff, and a nice atmosphere. It did get a little hot for us inside as it was a July evening so didn't spend as much time there as we could have done. The food was even tastier... More

I first found Roberto's by accident. My wife and I had walked from Hawkshead back to Bowness, got soaked by an unexpected downpour on the way (my waterproof coat turned out not to be!) and on the way back to our cottage we decided just to stay in and get takeway pizza from the restaurant at the end of the... Amazing food - enough choice for everybody! - I particularly recommend the tapas dishes and especially their homemade balsamic! The decor is delightful and the service was second to none! A woman who I assumed to be the owner was attentive throughout, very friendly and continuously made humorous conversation (perfect if with family) to everybody in there and it was... More

We visited Roberto's for the first time in October 2010 and were so impressed we went back on our second night in Bowness during that visit. We made a special side tour in our trip around Scotland and the UK to visit them again tonight. We were not disappointed the food was fabulous and the service wonderful. Wish they were... More

Our 3rd visit to Robertos over a few years. The service and food was good. We had a tapas for the main, which was very nice. A little expensive to me (£50 per head Inc wine), but the quality was good. One of the waiters was a little miserable but the other was very good. A pleasant night.

This Italian is only small but offers good quality food. The waitress from the Czech Republic needs a mention.. she has a brilliant attitude to customer service. The other staff were fine but she stood out for us and made our night. This place isn't the cheapest but it was a nice experience and I would recommend.
