Very pleasant hotel to visit for a meal when we were in the lakes for a day. We were well looked after beforehand and the service was excellent. The meal was very good, nicely presented and satisfying.

Good food. Excellent wine cellar. We were staying at the hotel and it was raining so we decided to eat at the restaurant rather than go into town. Dinner is pricey but not over the top.

Both at Breakfast and Dinner could not fault the service. Hearty breakfast with lots of choice and freshly cooked. Dinner, nothing was too much trouble. Starters delicious as were the main meals. Even managed a pudding.

An excellent meal with well prepared food presented in such a way that larger establishments by comparison should hang their heads. Staff were attentive without being over bearing and consequently a nice eating experience.

We ate there as part of a Travlezoo half board deal. The food was excellent - both the evening meal and the breakfast with its vast selection of fruit. Service was variable at both meals, with tea and toast taking a very long time one morning.

Fantastic 100% attention to detail! silver service! excellent food. The steak was to die for! And so was the ginger and rhubarb crumble! And so was the Plumgarth's Cumberland sausage! And so was the Kentmore rack of lamb! Get the picture!
