We booked a meal at this restaurant for new years eve. It was a 6 course fine dining menu which didn't disappoint. When we arrived we were met with a really charming elderly gentlemen at the reception who without hestitation took our coats showed us where to go and made us feel immediately at home. ( i.e. there was no... More

We were extremely impressed with the food; better than many 5star restaurants. Portion size was excellent, vegetable cooked to perfect. There wasn't anything that wasn't perfect! Well done Burn How.

on the menu there is lots of choice and plenty of it, first class breakfast it will last you all day and you will not need lunch but then you have dinner, the down side is that the food is so good you don't want to try anywhere else

Decided to eat at the hotel on the first of our 2 night stay here as it was pouring with rain and we didn't fancy walking to the town. We are glad we did as the food and the service were amazing. It was very well presented and excellent value for money. Well worth a visit when in the area... More

Very pleasant hotel to visit for a meal when we were in the lakes for a day. We were well looked after beforehand and the service was excellent. The meal was very good, nicely presented and satisfying.

Good food. Excellent wine cellar. We were staying at the hotel and it was raining so we decided to eat at the restaurant rather than go into town. Dinner is pricey but not over the top.

Both at Breakfast and Dinner could not fault the service. Hearty breakfast with lots of choice and freshly cooked. Dinner, nothing was too much trouble. Starters delicious as were the main meals. Even managed a pudding.

We were delighted to return to this restaurant after staying at the hotel in the Spring. We were 6 adults and a child, whose eyes popped when he saw the offerings on his menu!! Mind you, the adults did much the same. A variety of main courses were chosen and everyone expressed great satisfaction, including the "gluten-free" diner!!! The wine... More

An excellent meal with well prepared food presented in such a way that larger establishments by comparison should hang their heads. Staff were attentive without being over bearing and consequently a nice eating experience.
