Proper British Pub in need of a bit of TLC

Great staff, great service, great beers, food and roaring fire. Reasonablish prices - except, for example, the cost of their side order of beans, which you'd need to be quite wealthy to afford on a regular basis. Only needs a bit of TLC here and there i.e. lick of paint / new bits of carpet... read more

The food is plentiful but the drinks are extortionately priced. This is NOT London. The pub itself was warm and cosy but could do with a little updating.

All the food and drinks prices were great value for money, and would call again if in the area. There was also a great open fire in... More

While staying in Windermere my wife and I visited this pub / restaurant for a drink and a bite to eat an found it to be friendly and the food very nice. The staff on duty the day we visited 27/12/15 should be complimented by the management as they did a great job. Not many places these day's clear and... More
