Amazing little gem, full of homely goodness

We just happened to stumble across this lovely little cafe. It serves pannis, sandwiches and jacket potatoes, homemade soup and a whole range of cakes. Great prices, great portions and great service. The owners have put their heart and soul into this place and it shows from top to bottom. Highly... read more

First impressions, this looked like a nice little café tucked out of the way on a side street so wouldn't be that busy.... but this is in the lakes so "busy" is relative. I had my 5 year old son and 11 year old daughter with me and we called in for a spot of lunch... the menu was poor... More

This looked really appealing from the outside and there were some positives . We found it to be a bit cramped but you get that in small establishments . We had three different coffees and a panini . The coffees were good and hot & well presented . A small complimentary biscuit would have been a nice touch . I... More

We were in Bowness today looking for somewhere for lunch and decided to try Café Latte. The cream of tomato soup was excellent and came with lovely bread. There was a good range of tasty looking cakes to choose from for dessert. The chocolate caramel slice was delicious. Last but not least, the staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Called in to buy a take away sandwich. Only 3 fillings offered...cheese, tuna and egg! Very thin sliced bread with cheese and pickle filling cost £4.50! The sandwich was wet and the filling slid out of the terrible quality bread when I tried to eat it. Assistant was completely disinterested. There was a meal deal with a sandwich, mini Pringles... My partner and I came here two years ago for coffee and cake/scone. We returned today and had coffee and cake and it continues to exceed our expectations. Very nice coffee and a wide range of fentimans drinks. Cake was lush!
