Amazing little find

This is a fantastic, quirky little place. Tea is served with mismatched china cups and saucers which was lovely. The homemade cakes which are made on site are to die for and the rest of the menu looked varied and interesting. They also sell homemade jams and marmalades. The lady who served us was... read more

My Wife and I were having a weekend away to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We have a small Jack russell so we have to look for places we can take the dog. St Martins is the place. It is very dog friendly with free treats. It looks lovely inside. We had the homemade mushroom and garlic soup. It was... More

After a lucky escape with 2 other places that didn't look great, we finally stumbled upon this tea room yesterday...So glad we did as it was gorgeous. Such a friendly welcome and the place was absolutely spotless. Really quirky! We all ordered tea and it came in a lovely big tea pot with dainty mismatched china cups, excellent. We also... More

I recently visited St Martins Tea Room during a weekend away in Bowness. I chose St Martins due to the good reviews on Tripadvisor, and was not disappointed in the slightest. Both members of staff were very friendly and accomodating, and the Cream Tea for two was excellent. I would visit again in a heartbeat!

My fiancé and I have just got back from a mini break in Windermere. We came across this lovely tea room and its presence alone enticed us in. Beautifully decorated and such a warm atmosphere this tea shop is everything we hoped for. The food and drinks all looked amazing and in particular the vanilla milkshake was lovely. We visit... Having visited the tea room back in the summer and having given it the very good review it deserved we were looking forward to visiting again.... Second weekend in January, snow starting to fall, we were so looking forward to out tea and cake. However..... The place was freezing. We don't mean a tad cold, but very cold indeed. A... More

Fantastic little cafe in Bowness, just a few minutes walk from the boat pier on Lake Windermere. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Kids made to feel very welcome - even brought a selection of toys for our little boy to play with. All staff very polite, efficient and made a special effort with kids. Food great - good quality ingredients,... More

Called in for a Coffee and a bite at lunch time. Sat outside with our dog even though we were invited in. Very dog friendly, including a couple of dog biscuits. Decided on a cheese and onion sandwich which came with crisps, coleslaw and salad. Looked great and tasted delicious. Staff were excellent, will certainly visit again.
