after many years of visiting the lakes and constantly being disappointed by the quality of the tea rooms / lunch options available it was a delight to find St Martins. We spotted it on Trip advisor and it truly lived up to expectations. The welcome was warm and friendly, the menu choices ranged from simple jam sandwiches and toasted teacakes... More

Enjoyed tea and chocolate cake here, not on the main road, but worth looking for it. Service was good and asked during the snack if everything was okay. Was made to feel our visit and opinion was important

Visited for morning coffee on a trip to Bowness- a place where we had not been for over twenty years- my how its all changed Its become almost a theme park representation of what a lakes side attraction would look lile in say the Pleasure Beach at Blackpool However the Tea Room is just a lovely clean and attractive place.... Visited for coffee & cakes. I had the cream scone, full of fruit & very tasty, the strawberry jam was delicious & the fresh strawberry a bonus. The other half had the carrot cake which he raved about all afternoon. Well worth a visit & friendly staff.

As others have reported, this is a nice clean cafe in a side street in Bowness. The staff are very attentive and the service is very good. We had superb home made scotch beef burger with salad and cheesey nachos, and chilli beef with rice. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. Couldn't resist the homemade cakes, the lemon cake is... More

Really nice café on a quiet backstreet of Bowness. Nice coffee and cakes, free juice for kids, water bowl for dogs and even complimentary treats for the dog too. Well worth a visit and then try the bric-a-brac shop next door.

Down a side street behind the church you will find this lovely tea room. Only small but a very friendly place. Sat outside - only a few tables but nice to look and people watch. Ordered coffees and sandwiches - quickly served. Food came with a salad, homemade coleslaw and crisps. Chicken and stuffing (nice and warm) and tuna and... More

Although we were shown to the only remaining table and advised about what was available, some 15 minutes later, this was our only interaction with the staff. We did however have just enough time to log on the available WiFi and find somewhere else to spend our money!! Bye!

Really enjoyed our visit. We had the tuna wrap - came with lots of nice salad, and chilli con carne with rice (on the specials menu). Both were generous portions. Service was very attentive. Would happily go back.

Went for lunch Good choice on menu Had drinks and wraps Hot chocolate was ace and the wraps were substantial. Attentive staff Impressed overall. Often the food in the Lakes costs a lot and delivers little. Not here Would go again
