That extra bit of service makes it all special

Oh! Now that was a pleasant and lovely surprise. We arrived and the staff were oh so welcoming and informed us that if the menu doesn't suit our needs, feel free to modify it and mix things up. Music to my ears since I often find there are a few items on menus that I can't eat based on my... read more

We stumbled across this while looking fro somewhere for breakfast. It's tucked away down a side street but is worth a visit. I was very pleased that they had gluten free bread and cakes on the menu!. The staff were also very helpful in informing me of what items on the menu were gluten free. Will be back again next... More

Found this gem of a cafe down a side street. For a small shop it felt very roomy the way they had laid it out, had good music playing in the background & lots of interesting things in the walls. Fresh lillies on every table too. Service was brilliant & food amazing. Even the filling side salads were beautifully presented.... More

Came here for an afternoon coffee with my partner yesterday. We ordered a slice of the traditional Cumbrian fruit cake as well as a tea cake to go with it. The cakes were very tasty but the coffee was average - too watery. However, we had a very nice time in this unique little restaurant. It felt homey with all... More

We've eaten here twice now in so many months and absolutely love the place. both times my husband had a meal off the specials board (minced beef hotpot and today chilli con carne) and was definitely not disappointed. I've had the Spanish wrap both times which is fantastic and tasty, a mouthful of different flavours every time truly scrumptious. Our... More

My wife and I have tried to eat in this place twice now but each time we tried it was closed with a sign saying closed for making and baking. On our first visit we noticed a man unloading food items from his car and taking them in to the tea room, the food items were cakes and my wife... More

My husband and I stopped off for afternoon tea and it was truly delicious, warm scones with jam and clotted cream and a proper cup of tea served in bone china! Highly recommended

We had a bit of time to kill on Saturday afternoon so we called in for a cup of tea and some cake. Well start to finish everything was superb, the staff work especially hard and the level of service is second to none. Good food, good staff and not over priced, we will definitely be back soon.

My wife , 9 year old daughter and myself went in by chance to kill a bit of time before checking into the Belsfield as our room wasn't ready as we had arrived early. We were only looking for a quick bite to eat and we pleasantly surprised at the high standard shown in every area. The quality of the... More
