Tripadvisor you let me down on this occasion! I took my girlfriend and my parents here on the strength of the reviews but was very disappointed. I'm genuinely tempted to report this business for trade description violations because it was very evident to me that most of the cakes on display, if not all of them, are sourced from Costco... On a day trip to Bowness-on-Windermere we wandered up a little lane and came across this tea room. Sitting outside in the sun we were served a delicious cream tea by a lovely waitress. The china used set off the scone with clotted cream and homemade jam to perfection. A lovely experience.

Popped in here for a cup of tea which was promptly served in a nice little china pot. Very good selection of cakes but I had to decline as I'm trying to lose weight!!.Absolutely the most pleasant and friendliest staff I have ever came across. ***WELL DONE***

We stopped by for a cream scone and pot of tea. The home made jam was delicious. The warmed home made scones were light and crumbly. And the owner stopped by for a chat to lighten the afternoon. Perfect place for a quick refreshment stop.

Really swift friendly service and a good range of home made cakes. Price seemed reasonable too, in comparison to similar.

Visited after the very good reviews on TripAdvisor. Ordered 2 afternoon teas (scone with jam and cream and a pot of tea). The homemade jam was delicious and the tea served in a China pot with China cups tasted really nice...it definitely makes a difference!! Service was really friendly too. Our only slight comment is that it appeared the scones... More

Step just off the main streets to find this hidden gem. Great range of food at great prices and friendly staff too Popped in today while passing and even though they were just opening I was welcomed by the staff. Coffee was made just how I like it and the chocolate cake was to die for. While I was there... More

What a lovely quaint little venue with lots of choice on the menu. Service with a smile.. Upon welcoming we were made to feel comfortable and that nothing was too much fuss. I actually ordered a Jacket potato with a Greek salad (not set from the menu) and my Partner Breakfast toasties both dishes were served to a very high... More
