Homely, pleasant and a lovely outside area

This is a quaint area and we sat next to a church. Our food was tasty. I had a tasty potato and leek soup and an excellent omelette and my friend a breakfast of eggs and sausage etc. The staff were pleasant and we enjoyed our meal although there was nothing very different that they had on offer.

Just off the main drag of shops and certainly worth a walk to go. We have dogs so sat outside, but understand you can also sit inside with dogs....always nice to know when it's cooler. Lovely latte and cappucicino. We had a toastie and shared a piece of cake. Nice and tasty, served with side salad. Cake was delicious, large... More

Lovely lunch on a busy little street in Bowness. Very reasonably priced with good service and tasty sandwiches and cakes. Freshly baked warm scones in a variety of fruit, plain, cherry or cheese.... Much better than some other local cafes. Eat in or outside.

Lovely lunch. Generous amounts of good quality food with exceptional toasted sandwiches!! Excellent location where you can watch the world go by and prices are reasonable considering you are in the heart of the Lake District.

Hidden behind a church off the main street in Bowness on Windermere this tea room is a real find. Very helpful and friendly staff, dogs allowed ( a fantastic find for those of us who go out & about with our 4 legged friends) the cream tea is a must, both normal and gluten free scones are home made and... Came to the lakes and needed food before doing anything! Stumbled upon this place and after being told the dogs were allowed inside we decided to. Excellent breakfast sandwich with Cumberland sausage, bacon and egg and good coffee too. Just what we needed to start the day! Very friendly owners and even provided a sausage for the dogs free of... When walking on day we came across this little treasure just tucked away off the main street. The waitress was very attentive and polite. My wife had the chicken chorizo panini and I had a cheese and ham toastie just to put me on till evening. The food came out piping hot with a lovely fresh salad and coleslaw. For... More

Nice little place and a great setting but was not overly impressed with the panini I had. Not much filling and the bread roll was bought in. Service was good and it was pleasant just nothing special.

Walked up from the lakeside area mainly because I objected to paying 40p to use a public loo- a right rip off! Found Aunty Val's and decided to have coffee and a cake. Friendly and efficient staff in a charming tea room. Liked the teapots hanging round the ceiling. We wondered where all the lids were! We decided to come... More

Four of us visited on Saturday afternoon after swimming. We were ready for refreshments. The Sandwiches were lovely and tasty, both brown and white bread. Also the scones and cream and, apple pie were delicious. The tea was served in a big pot complete with strainer. Real tea, not tea bags. What a treat! Delicious food, not a crumb left... More
