Can't say enough about this small family run place. We love it and have never been disappointed any time we have been here which has been several as we always make a point to come here whenever we are in the Lake District. The food is fresh and delicious and the homemade cakes are just a treat to say the... More

Found this last time on holiday in June decided to revisit just as good brilliant service with lovely smiles. Food was excellent my husband had a jacket potato with chilli which he said was great. Definitely will be going again as the prices are very good and such a warm welcome.

Visited with family for a quick lunch. Food served was quick, tasty and good quality - predominantly British Food . In terms of this place - It's not a purpose built modern restaurant so spacing is limited to 4/6 tables each accommodating 4/5 people but the location where it is based is excellent. Give it a try, you wont be... More

Have dined here quite a few times but on a few visits found it closed? On our last visit however it seemed to be business as usual and we had a lovely lunch. The owner is very friendly, makes you feel very welcome.

Found this place by default as most cafés were closed late afternoon Sunday, so a bit of a life-saver (hungry 9-yr-old boy in tow!). Owners were happy to stay open until we'd finished and we didn't feel any pressure to hurry. Major bonus was excellent food + very friendly and helpful service. We had baked potatoes - arrived with tasty... More

We visited here at lunchtime, the owner was more than accommodating as we had a pushchair and the place isn't huge! Get there early! The menu is wide ranging and very reasonable, we had a mixture of hot and cold meals. Everyone was very satisfied. Would definitely visit again.
