We tried this restaurant due to the reviews in trip advisor and where very glad we did. We had starters , mains and desert and all where super and you can see that the two main chefs had worked for Mr Rramsey and at Buckingham palace. The wine was also good and not stupidly priced. Tables where well spread out... More

Wow. The food, staff and setting here are all fabulous. Greeted by friendly staff and offered drinks straight away. We ordered the seafood platter and the risotto cheese balls, both were amazing followed by the pork belly (oh my goodness best I've ever tasted) then the cheese board and sticky toffee soufflé with coffees to end. You will not be... More

Well we haven't been here for a while so last night we booked a table for me and my wife. Once again the food and service was spot on, this is by far the best restaurant in Bowness. Highly recommended

We booked a table for two on the 6th September, glad we did as the restaurant was turning people away due to being full, we were lucky enough to be seated in a booth which was really cosy, I had the fish plate and my partner the chicken liver parfait to start both of which were really good, this was... Thoroughly enjoyed the food. Would recommend a visit. The seafood plate starter and Lamb Rump main course was particularly good. Can get very busy, I suggest you book to avoid disappointment.

Trip Advisor triumph, this place is seriously good in all departments, from front of house, service, food to coats on leaving - yes yes yes! The décor and ambience are just right, staff who are attentive and friendly and food to die for. We were waxing lyrical about the lamb for at least two days and the sweets were divine.... More

As I live only 5 miles from this eatery I can say this is by far one of the finest restaurants in the area and is highly recommended by 'locals'. The food can in no way be equated to The Angel ~ whose food is also excellent, but offers an entirely different eating experience and cannot in any way be... More

On first impressions I thought the furnishings were a bit gauche, however the seats were very comfortable. The starter was ok (risotto balls with ricotta). My main was salmon which was cooked nicely but was swimming in a sea of watery red sauce accompanied by hard tasteless potatoes. My husband had the haddock which was lovely to be fair. The... More

Romantic dinner with wonderfully attentive but not intrusive staff. Food was delicious, perfectly cooked and presented. Staff very helpful to suggest wines to go with particular dishes. Loved the informative touch in the loos, where we found out about the background of the kitchen staff! Excellent value for the quality.
