Good food, nicely served!

We went to The Angel Inn on our first night in The Lakes and it fitted the bill perfectly. We both went for a pork and apple burger. We both wanted them slightly differently cooked and they arrived slightly differently cooked - I know that sounds small but trust me most places don't listen and... read more

We were sat at the open log fire drinking wine listening to the chilled laid back music, then we went through to the restaurant, great food, goo quality ingredients were used & the waiting staff were fantastic. Would definitely recommend going here if only just for a drink!

Me and my girlfriend ate here on sat 4th jan. We both had fish and chips. Believe me this is the tastiest fish and chips you will get anywhere. Even the presentation of the food is lovely. The staff are all friendly and polite. In my opinion the angel inn is one of the best places to visit for drinks... More

Went for dinner with some friends, was quite busy so we had to squeeze 6 of us into a small table. Food was excellent although by the time we were there, some of the specials were unavailable. Overall, we had a great time!

We visited for some drinks and an informal/quick evening meal, and for this reason sat in the tabled bar area and not the restaurant. Both areas were comfortable, well lit and inviting. The bar had some good beers on draught as well as reasonable cider offerings (also in mulled form). The menu was of a traditional pub fare, but certainly... More

Lovely place, so warm and food was really really tasty! We went there for new year day dinner, there was a lovely real fireplace, menu was really good, all homemade food loads to choose from!

Booked a table for 9pm new years eve, told it would be ours for the night (it was), would be decorated (it was), and, there would be a disco on till about 1am. Great we thought, saved trying to fight our way to the bar in the pubs, can have a dance. Ordered our meals, purchased a bottle of wine,... More

Just in Bowness-on-Windermere for a quick break and looked on TripAdvisor for lunch suggestions. This place looked good and had good reviews. The menu had a good choice but we decided to stick with a sandwich each. I had a tuna savoury and a portion of fries and my partner had the cheese - it came with chutney but asked... More

We attended the restaurant around 4.30 and approached the bar to see if there was availability for a table for two. A member of bar staff advised we could sit in restaurant or in the bar for food. We chose a nice table in restaurant. Staff were visible but we weren't offered a menu. We found a couple of menus... More
