Friday night out

We really like the decor! Had a great meal. Not the cheapest but portions are really big so no room for desert. Although the homemade shortbread on the bar is always a winner.

I never normally write these but I'm that disappointed that we wasted our time and money in here, I would not want this to happen to anyone else. The member of staff who took my order was unnecessarily rude and made me feel really uncomfortable and self conscious! We had to wait over an our to be served our food.... More

This was our second restaurant meal during our Windermere stay which was a short 15 minute walk from our hotel. We decided to come here because it looked nice and seemed more like our style of place to dine. When we first went in, we were slightly confused, there were no waiters or waitresses to seat us, we got a... More

Having spent a number of years continuously improving the decor and investing on the Village Inn, it is always great to receive positive feedback and comments like yours, so thank you! My wife makes all of our homemade cakes and desserts every day, and the homemade shortbread is one of our particular favourites across the business - great to hear... More

Lovely venue but bit on the expensive side for us. Bar staff friendly enough but not somewhere we would spend the entire evening.

What an amazing place! I first visited this place for an evening meal to celebrate an anniversary, it was lively and the atmosphere was just what we wanted. There was a wait, usual for a weekend, but we were able to enjoy drinks before being seated. The food was great as was service and the price was on point too,... More

Stopped by for lunch one day with the family. First impressions where great, really nice place and staff very friendly. Food was ok but we all thought the same. It was very oily/greasy and not very enjoyable given the prices. My only issue with the place was with toilets. Wife said the women’s was lovely but the gents was awful.

We went to the restaurant as it was close to the hotel. The waiter we had was very rushed and disorganised, although his colleagues were very good. Squid and baked Camembert were delicious. We ordered mussels as a main and there were simply too many. Far too many, even for a big man like myself. They were delicious but just... More

With so much adventure and exploring to do right on our doorstep, we like to serve big portions to make sure everyone has all the energy to go out and explore what Lakeland has to offer! The mussels are one of our most popular dishes, with a range of flavoured sauces to choose from, and I am delighted to hear... More

Outside area is lovely but decided it may not be warm enough to eat outside. Inside the decor is fabulous, as soon as we walked in we were made to feel welcome. Good choice of menu. Hubby had chosen and I was still trying to decide, the waiter cane over and chatted through the menu and offered some suggestions. Hubby... More
