Just walked by this restaurant and decided to give it a try after looking at the menu. The staff are friendly. We ordered pork and mussels. The mussels are surprisingly good. The sauce is creamy and cheesy. Though the mussels are not a main dish, the portion is actually big enough for two people to share. The pork's sauce is... More

We had our wedding in Bowness and tied this in with our family coming to stay for a few nights. Graham and his staff were extremely welcoming and make our wedding day drinks very special indeed Thanks

We were walking past on the way back to our hotel, and as it was such a lovely day stopped for a late afternoon drink on the terrace, which is a lovely place to spend some time. The smallest drink of wine they would serve was 250ml which is a third of a bottle, which was £7.50 a glass, £15... More

We went to this restaurant in the evening having booked. The waiter was attentive & very friendly, We chose a main course with wine and it was excellent. We shared a pudding which again was good. There were not many people in the restaurant however the atmosphere was still good. An extra bonus was that they accepted the Gourmet card.

Had the early dinner menu. Beautiful food. Service a little slow, but to be fair they were busy. The food is all cooked fresh, my husband had the meat pie and said it was the best he'd ever tasted.

This is a lovely place to eat chef/owner couldn't have done enough for us a really lovely guy its just a pity he doesn't have staff as passionate as he is! But we would definitely dine there again - for the food alone - best curry ever😀

We ate here twice during our week stay in Bowness-on-Windermere. The first meal was a family Sunday lunch from the set menu. Both my husband and I chose the carrot and coriander soup for our starter. This was ok but not the tastiest soup and my husband was not impressed. The beef dinner however was very nice, with tender beef... More

Just up the road from where we stayed, excellent food, just like I would have cooked. Pate to start, and the lamb was excellent

Visited midweek on Gourmet Society recommendation. Very quiet for a sunny early evening when Bowness centre was quite busy, but a very courteous welcome by an experienced and knowledgeable gentleman (probably the self same mentioned in "Anne311247"'s review) got the evening off to a positive start. We just missed out on the early evening special offer, so went "a la... More
