We decided to go this place on a whim, and boy we were really learnt a lesson. we were seated after a 20 minute wait without so much as a smile. The food was just average, and our mood was terribly spoilt because of the ill behaved senior hostess who kept on arguing that they serve port in pegs ,... More

We ordered 2 soups and 2 thai green curries, one chicken one king prawn. The drinks and starters came quick enough. We then had a table of 8 arrive next to us who had obviously pre-ordered and their food was bought out immediately. I think this contributed to the problem! We waited. And waited. So I found the waiter and... More

Have visited 5-6 times now, and although its not a palace we find the food and prices acceptable. Yes its not 5star, but for price and quality and quantity it does the job. Usually busy and they turn lots away.

This was a total shot in the dark as the set menu looked superb. The starters where nice, no problem. I ordered the Thai green curry which said medium hot. Now, I can eat spicy food but this was just unbearable. I picked out all the chicken and left the sauce. The place needs a thorough clean and the toilets... More

My family and I ate here recently whilst in Bowness. The quality of the food was poor and the service wasn't the best. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone visiting the town. The nearby tapas restaurant is far better.

The food was acceptable and had obviously been freshly prepared or at least as fresh as Chinese gets however, the staff were poorly presented totally unprofessional and had no manners in fact they were quite obnoxiously rude, our meals turned up at different time intervals I had to request a fork to eat with (comically no knives were even on... We have just returned from the Lakes and we visited this restaurant twice and were impressed on both visits. The food was served on hot plates and was well cooked and very tasty one of the nicest. Value was just right we had 3 main dishes 1 rice, 1 noodles and a bottle of wine £52.00. The staff were very... More

The restaurant is now called You and me. Despite the poor reviews , we decided to give this place a try. The waitress was friendly and seated quickly as it was quiet. Quick turnaround with ordering + serving. I ordered egg fried rice with tofu. Food was good and abundant for the price paid ( £9) . The decor was... More
