Our 3rd trip to this restaurant and it never disappoints. The food is wonderful, lots of choice to suit all tastes. I started with Pate and had a Seabass main. Delicious, and perfectly cooked. I followed this with White Chocolate and Raspberry Cheesecake - as good as it sounds. 1 of my friends is a Pudding freak, so he refused... More

We stumbled across this after being turned away at two other restaurants as they'd closed their kitchens at quarter to eight on a Monday evening! However, what was their loss was most definitely are gain. The food was a delight, with lots to choose off the menu to suit everyone's taste. The service was excellent and we have recommended it... We saw this restaurant last summer when in bowness and couldn't get a table so we were over the moon to get one this time, and we weren't dissapointed. The restaurant was quiet but it didn't lack atmosphere, the food was delicious and staff were very attentive and polite. We will definately return again.

I'm not a fan of fixed price menus but It was good value. Food was pretty good although some sauces were rather too sweet. Wine was well priced and good quality and at £64 for 3 courses for two including a decent red we were happy

Checked out a few local eateries during a few days in the Lakes and came across Jackson's. It looked quite busy but we were immediately given a table in the window of this split level bistro. Very prompt and friendly service which was reflected in the food which showed small can be good. The menu may be short but I... More

This was a great find in Bowness - we didn't book and thought we might be unlucky, but we were happy to be seated in the delightful downstairs restaurant. It was a lovely room with a massive fire - thankfully we could choose to sit away from the fire! The staff were all delightful - helpful, friendly and efficient -... More

Absolutely lovely evening meal... Whole range of different kinds of food which was nice to choose from. I had the famous crispy duck stater and then chicken bacon and avocado salad. My better half had a mushroom stater then the rump steak. Both looked and tasted very nice (see uploaded pics) bar and waiting staff were VERY friendly with us... More

We ate here for my Aunt's birthday, we all had a very nice meal. Three of our party ordered steaks and they were good, well cooked and the sauces very nice. There was a good selection to choose from and we had no difficulty in finding something suitable. We were seated downstairs and it was nice and warm and cosy... More

We have never had a bad meal in this restaurant. Their special steak is simply delicious and the sea bass is just as good. A good choice of starters, not just your usual soup of the day and pate, although the pate with Cumberland sauce and warm Brioche is delicious. Finish your meal with Sticky Toffee Pudding or any one... More
