Consistently good

I have eaten at Jacksons on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious, staff attentive and prices very reasonable. We both had the 2 course menu, I had the mushrooms to start and my husband had the pancake both were swimming in cheese and my main chicken bolognese... More

Looked for a restaurant in our recent visit to Bowness and Jackson's Bistro (by the way it's in St Martin's Place, not as shown on Tripadvisor). Very busy bot there are two floors and we were given a small table for two. Unfortunately the floor was uneven so I had to ask for a wedge for my chair. Excellent service,... More

We visited Jacksons as it was recommended to us by our host whilst on my boyfriend's bday away and we weren't disappointed. The food was really good quality and it was lovely wine too. I had chicken with bolognaise and my boyfriend had the lamb & black pudding casserole. We both loved our meals. I thought the prices were fine... More

Bit of a mix up with the wait time for our meal but this was more than made up for by the attentive staff. Our waiter... More

On approach it looks small but there is another level of restaurant downstairs. The food is fresh and homemade what more can... More
