Confusing

Apparently the restaurant goes by a different name but the website didn't say that when making the booking, so it was a bit tricky to find. On a romantic breaks in the lakes we stumbled upon this restaurant which from the money and interior atmosphere seemed like a pleasant establishment. My god were we wrong. We entered the restaurant only to find 3 kitchen staff staring at us no one wanted to show us to a seat. Eventually a woman with broken English skills walked over... More

I called last night.. New years eve knowing that they would probably be fully booked, the nice lady told me that she could squeeze us in if we went straight away, we turned up about an hour later and were shown to our table, the setting is very romantic with flowers on the table and an open kitchen. We felt... More

Pretty restaurant, pizza was good but my lasagne had barely any meat in it and a lot of cheese. I would come here again and the atmosphere was nice.

Amore is an attractive restaurant. The food is tasty and well prepared. My lasagne was piping hot, meaty and with a delicious and spicy sauce. The staff are very friendly, although the service was rather slow. Very convenient for those visiting the Royalty Cinema.

Called into Amore last night. Mur starters were great, but it went down hill from there. My partner received her main course (which she really enjoyed) 10 minutes before me, and when mine arrived it was the worst pizza I've ever had (and that includes frozen ones from the supermarket). Added to that the side orders of fries and garlic... More

We wanted an early meal before the theatre, and we stepped into Amore, accompanied by Dean Martin, of course, singing "That's Amore". Being early evening it was quiet, and the service was good. We had a bread basket to nibble on while we waited for our mains. I have to say that it wasn't the most imaginative of bread baskets,... More

Very very disappointed, the venue looks good but that is really the only positive I can say about Amore. The service was slow despite the restaurant not being too busy and the food was far from the traditional Italian food we had read about in the reviews, each member of our party of 5 found the taste to be far... We booked the night before, but they had crossed our name out and given it someone else by mistake. We were offered a table in a dark corner but on refussal, were quickly offered a more suitable table. Service was ok but food was excellent. Apart from dessert which was tasteless. Setting was romantic! Enjoyed my evening though.
