Fabulous food, friendly staff and extremely good deal including cinema ticket. We paid £19.50 for 2 courses and a ticket to see the inbetweeners. Amazing! Stilton mushrooms were fantastic and my veggie option of aubergine with goat's cheese was extremely tasty. Food did come very quickly and we were done within about 45 mins which was the only negative i... More

This is a great restaurant for dinner. They have a good menu and quite a number of daily specials. We stumbled across it while walking through bowness and decided to stay for dinner. We ordered a starter to share and two mains, along with a jug of wine and soda. The service was good and food arrived in very good... More

We visited Fat Olives as a family of six after seeing the offer for dinner and cinema ticket. The price for both was less than we'd pay for the cinema ticket alone at our local flix. And the food was excellent! Service was friendly and efficient too. We'd definitely go again.

We went here for an evening meal whilst staying in the Lake District. The service was good and our waitress in particular was very helpful and friendly. However, the food wasn't particularly great compared with other places that we dined at whilst staying in the Lake District and for the price I would have expected more. Ok if you are... More

Chose this for its children's menu which is pretty good for our picky 7yo. We shared the mixed breads starter. He had penne in butter. My wife had lasagne, and I had the seafood risotto. Menu price for my meal was £13 but it was a rice dish so qualified for the early evening discount of a flat rate of... More

Fat Olives were very accommodating of our wheat/egg intolerant child. The chef came out to speak to us and prepared her a delicious chicken and vegetable dish. We ate in the brasserie twice!!! Excellent

It was a brilliant place to eat. The food was so tasty and well presented. We had dinner there and again lunch the following day - I also celebrated my 60th birthday with my family and mentioned it to them the evening before and the server who served it remembered and said happy birthday to me when we walked in.... Thank goodness for Fat Olives! My husband and I stayed in the Lake District for one night and were walking around when the heaven's opened, I have a walking disability so we went into the nearest public house which was absolutely dreadful. As the rain eased off, we decided to venture out doors again and came across Fat Olives. Not... More
