My husband and I both chose the butternut squash and goats cheese cannelloni with a side of home made chips and a jug of home made lemonade. I insisted on finishing the cannelloni even though I was full part way through because it was so lovely. We waited a while before ordering dessert and didn't feel pressured to hurry. The... More

I ate here two years ago and felt that I had had one of the best meals out ever, so my expectations were very high. We ordered a sharing platter to start that included hummus, cured meats and olives. It was beautiful and there was plenty of everything to feed me, my wife and our five year old son. Things... More

Wide selection on the menu which suited even the picky eater with us. Lovely sharing starter with enough for three for us. Fresh and well presented mains with excellent portion sizes. House wine was lovely too.

The service was friendly enough and we did enjoy the food (great selection). However the restaurant itself was a bit cold, had to keep my coat on. If it wasn't for the lack of heating it would have been brilliant.

What a great deal for a rainy night.. A meal and a trip to the cinema for 19.50... The food was delightful and the staff really lovely.. The drinks aren't included but are at standard prives fir wine and the house wine was lovely.. The choice of menu was good and the food matched this... Great night

After a bad experience the night before, this little place got the holiday back in track. Prompt, polite and efficient staff. Very tasty food in very good portion sizes. We both thoroughly enjoyed all 3 courses. Proper stuffed now though! Thank You

We arrived on a busy Monday evening, the atmosphere was bustling and we chose the two course deal including wine. The starter was excellent, the main course I chose was vegetarian and was pleasant but not outstanding. The white wine we had at best could be described as sharp at worst vinegary perhaps the rose or red would have been... More

Thank you for your comments, I'm glad you enjoyed your food. I'm not sure why you found the wine vinegary? We have offered the same house wine for many years now and people are usually full of praise for it (I drink quite a lot of it myself) If you had mentioned it to us at the time we would... More

The staff are welcoming and friendly which is refreshing in such a busy place. The food was spectacular! Fresh and tasty and great value for money. We shared 2 sharing starters as a main course and could barely finish! Would definitely recommend and will be back whenever the chance arises.

Came here for an evening meal during our trip, we ordered the chicken & chorizo pate and the sticky ribs, then the steak burger and seafood risotto. Everything we ordered was delicious! Good selection of wines and they also have good pre-set menus. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and was cosy, waitresses were friendly and helpful. Only shame was... More

Thank you very much for your kind comments, so glad you enjoyed your meal. I'm sorry you found our drinks a bit pricey although we are broadly in line with other establishments in the area. Unfortunately we do not have the buying power of the bigger chains. More

We saw this offer, meal and cinema ticket combined £19.50, so went for it. Fat Olive's and Bowness Cinema The two course meal was delicious, having had a poor meal the previous evening at another eatery, this was a nice change. Good choice from preset menu I had pan fried chicken and veg, followed by blackcurrant cheesecake My wife had... More
