Having walked past during the day and saw how busy it was and how nice all the floral displays were we decided to go back in the evening for a meal. We were not disappointed. This is a traditional, no frills old world English pub that delivers very good food at sensible prices. The menu is fairly extensive with something... More

This quaint little pub caught our eye on the street with the array of floral displays outside the venue. Although the interior of the pub was pretty standard we had good service and good traditional pub food. We ordered the curry, classic burger and beef pie which were all decent servings and tasted great.

Good traditional pub grub. Good availability of tables on a busy Sunday afternoon. The outside of the restaurant is simply stunning with the most lovely floral display. Good menu, nice food and generally good experience.

Visited Saturday night as exterior was lovely and menu seemed good. We were sent to wait downstairs whilst a table was ready but HAD to order drinks first which were VERY expensive - over £11 and one of these was just a small glass of pop. We had soup for starters which came with a flat brown tea cake. My... More

We had lunch here. The food was good solid pub food. We ate from the light lunch menu. Three of the party had sandwiches which were well filled, the other had a jacket potato.

Just a good honest meal at a good honest restaurant. I had the lamb which was tender and "fell" off the bone. Large meal and certainly didn't leave feeling hungry

Had a nice welcome of a you waitress (she should have been in charger in my opinion) then an older lady took over and found her rude, un social and not friendly at all. I ordered the classic burger which arrived cold. I was in a group of 5 and each of us had something to say about the poor... More

This is a very traditional english pub/restaurant both quaint & dated. Service with a smile & a very nice Lamb Henry, my partner had Traditional Fish & Chips & we both found the meal extremely tasty. The only downside is its a bit pricey 50% more than any of my local restaurants but it wasnt 50% bigger & though the... More

Food was very good here, the waitress was really helpful and even suggested some other things we might like. Decor is slightly odd but that really doesn't matter
