Fresh and tasty

The staff were friendly. The fresh fish was coated in a light crispy batter and the chips were delicious. Our meals were cooked to order but we didn't have to wait too long for them.

Popped in as we were just in a caravan park around the corner. Ordered two large fish and one bag of chips. After waiting quite a while it transpired that they had given my order to someone else, so I had to wait for this to be made up again. Simple mistake, not to worry. I was then asked three... More

Stumbled across this Fish n Chips shop in right across the Beatrix Potter attraction and they served really tasty fish and chips. The fish was fresh and battered was fried to perfection. It wasn't too expensive and My family absolutely enjoyed it.

Popped in here on way back to car park after a very, very long walk. The Seafarers originate from Lytham St, Annes in Lancashire which is 20 minutes from where we live. So glad they were here in Cumbria! Certainly the best fish and chips ever tasted. Freshly cooked as you order. Piping hot. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend, and... More

My husband picked up fish and chips from here as we were self catering up the road. The food was decent quality and the children's meals were enormous! Given that we have a preschooler and a baby we could easily have split one meal between them. I personally prefer Vinegar Jones up the road and would probably go back there... More

We ate here as we both fancied some chips as opposed to two nights of fine dining but it wasn't great. Staff we of Asian decent and one in particular struggled with the english language. Typical chippy really, cheap gravy and my pie very dry after a good number of hours in the heater range. Ive certainly ate better chippy... More

We headed from Edinburgh after work without eating so we were really looking forward to the fish and chips we planned to have when we got to Bowness but we didn't do our research. Seafarers was unfortunately the nearest chippy to our accommodation so we went there. We ordered beef burger, chips and curry sauce for hubby and fish and... More

Go here whenever we are in The Lakes but was slightly disappointed this trip. Fish and chips seemed very greasy not up to the usual standard. Not sure if it has changed ownership.
