A little disappointed

Go here whenever we are in The Lakes but was slightly disappointed this trip. Fish and chips seemed very greasy not up to the usual standard. Not sure if it has changed ownership.

We ate here as we both fancied some chips as opposed to two nights of fine dining but it wasn't great. Staff we of Asian decent and one in particular struggled with the english language. Typical chippy really, cheap gravy and my pie very dry after a good number of hours in the heater range. Ive certainly ate better chippy... More

We headed from Edinburgh after work without eating so we were really looking forward to the fish and chips we planned to have when we got to Bowness but we didn't do our research. Seafarers was unfortunately the nearest chippy to our accommodation so we went there. We ordered beef burger, chips and curry sauce for hubby and fish and... More

3 stars may be unfair. This is a chippy. Opposite the Beatrix Potter exhibition in Bowness. Price is reasonable for the area. Ordered sausage chips and gravy. The chips were spot on and the sausage wasn't bad. Unfortunately the gravy was tasteless and I had too much. In part this was my fault as I had the option of it... More

The only fish and chip shop in England to which I would make a second visit. Fish cooked to order and excellent. Chips good and not oily. Staff very pleasant.

Was quite nice food and reasonably priced a cheap quick tea. Very friendly staff, but the regular portions could be considered a small portion elsewhere.

We've tried a few fish and chip shops in Windermere and have always been disappointed, until we found this place. Excellent food, cooked perfectly, fresh and served by very friendly staff. Well worth a try when in the area.

We were staying self catering in Bowness for a weekend with the kids, but did not want to spend all our time cooking. This was a great find and some of the best fish and chips we have had in a long time. Fresh and dwarves quickly. The batter was crispy, not too greasey and the fish lightly cooked. We... More

Having previously tried the fish and chips elsewhere and been disappointed we came upon Seafarers purely by chance while out exploring the area and decided to give them a go, well we were certainly not disappointed this time round, the food is cooked freshly to order, the fish was well cooked with a light crispy batter and lovely thick and...
