We always come to this chip shop when we are in bowness. It's the best chip shop around bowness. There are different sized portions of fish and chips. So if you wanted small ask for small but the large fish and chips the fish is big. Even a child's portion of sausage and chips was massive. I have fussy children... More

Ordered fish and chips for family....... We were starving and when we opened them were shocked to see how tiny the fish was. They obviously put loads of chips in to cover up how tiny the fish was. The fish was the worst we had ever had ....very tasteless!! I phoned up to say how disappointed we were and said... More

Having done some research on reviews, Seafarers seemed the best and so we decided to treat ourselves on our last day of visiting lakedistrict. What a dissapointment, although service was good, when we took our cod & haddock back, we were so surprised the portion of a large fish was tiny! I cannot imagine how the portions would be like... Lovely fresh fish and chips, the best i have tasted in a long time. Quick friendly service. There is seating outside which you can use to eat your food. Wonderful.

We stayed in Bowness on Windermere for our 2week summer break and as you do on holiday fish and chips is a must but finding a good fish and chip shop can be difficult. Well if you're in Bowness look no further than Seafarers. This is top quality with a very friendly welcome and freshly cooked food which you're asked... More

We had fish and chips from this takeaway on a Saturday night. Whilst there wasn't too much to complain about, fish and chips could and should be so much better. We were absolutely starving having walked up Scafell pike during the day, but not even this managed to get the quality of the fish and chips up to the average... More

Ordered Cod and chips from here on a recent visit to Bowness. This used to be our favourite chip shop when staying in the area. What I got did not taste at all like cod, in fact it had very little flavour at all and had the texture of something that had been frozen. Batter was crisp on one side... More

Tiny fish and chip shop opposite the Beatrice Potter attraction. The owners were very friendly and falling over themselves to be helpful. The batter on the fish was the lightest I've ever tasted. The kids meal of fish bites and chips was huge and would easily have fed an adult. We visited in the sunshine so sat at a little... More

It was ok but not the best chippy ive ever had. It hit the spot though and filled our bellies. A little on the pricey side too.
