We ate here on my birthday. The full rack of ribs were lots of spare ribs rather than a rack of ribs. Large portions but being the only family in there at 2pm eating the 3 staff that were on took forever to get the food to the table. They also forgot about 3 different drinks orders and tried to... After dining out last Christmas Day we thought we'd go closer to home this year and try the Sunray as we regularly have the carvery. What an awful decision, one that ruined our Christmas Day. The soup arrived, very tasty but tiny portion and just warm, then the main course arrived, it was absolutely appalling!!! The meat and roast potatoes... More

We have been to the Sun Ray for the last 6 years for Christmas day lunch ,every year we say its not as good as last year ,but still seem to re book , this year was truly bloody terrible ,the pate for a starter had one slice of toast and a big block of pate ,enough to be suitable... More

We were booked to go to the Sunray as I'm down with my elderly folks and didn't wish them to cook as they deserve to put the hard work behind them. Sadly for the Sunray, due to past reports, alarm bells did ring after I asked my father to find a good local. The reports on trip finder were poor.We went there... More

As a 40th Birthday party 25 of us went for lunch . Pub was cold , at no point were we offered menus , we had to look for them ! The carvery was a disgrace , the girl serving was slow and trying her best to give as little meat as possible , veg were dry and not very... More

had the most delicious carvery, best one out family has had in a long time. Meat was cooked to perfection. Different selection of veg. Reasonable price. Will come back here for sure! Yum!

After driving past this pleasant looking pub for the last 3 years, me and my other half decided to venture inside for a birthday meal. Greeted by a smile and a happy young lady, I was convinced we where onto a good thing...I was wrong. Being only the third party in the restaurant, orders where taken quickly, drinks where to... Carvery was edible but the service was slow. We arrived about 2pm there were only 7 tables occupied but took the staff an age to serve. I walked about to find a lady to ask where I order the food to be told someone would be over to take the order.....10 mins later the same scruffy lady came over to... More

This is the worst carvery we have ever had. We should have known it would be bad as the place was empty on a Sunday in half term but we gave it a go anyway (regrettably!). The service was slow and appalling despite tree being next to no one in there. The area around our seating was filthy and one... More

I know it was after 7pm but the veg had no flavour, the meat was in tiny pieces, yorkshires were like rubber, the food had been kept warm and not hot enough the meal was terrible.
