But run down looking. Dangerous play area

Play area had sections of a high level floor missing . Wasn't sectioned off. The planks on the floor had rusty nails sticking up. Place looked shabby. Long grass, felt slightly in cared for. Customer service as rubbish as normal along with the food as well. Over priced, long waiting times and crap... read more

We went for a Sunday evening carvery here this evening and was disgusted with the service we received. We have dined here on many occasions in the last when it was under the old management. Never really had any issues, so we thought we would try it out now it had changed hands. We have left feeling completely disappointed, I... More

Due to previous experiences here at The Sunray, me and my family were debating whether to visit after reading some dreadful reviews on this website but we gave it a chance seeing as it is a local of ours. Wrong decision! I feel compelled to write a review as the quality has only got worse. It has recently been refurbished... More

We dined here while on holiday after seeing good reviews in the visitor book of our holiday cottage. We were so glad we did the food was delicious especially the BBQ ribs I've never had any so good before or after , my husband had something different but was jealous when our meals arrived so much so we returned the... Was not going to leavea review but having read the comments on the lunch yesterday, feel compelled to do so. To say it was a disgrace is an understatement. We had a carvery. Meat portions were small and the veg awful. I complained to the Manager(???) who did not utter one word, having been told that the broccoli and cauliflower... More

We tried the Sunray carvery as it looked nice from the outside and inital view inside. How wrong we were. No menus so know idea of price, our first mistake! Waitress clueless - asked if we wanted the carvery and then when we asked what the other options were told it was just a cavery. Chef didn't know what meat... More

We have first hand experience, of how management treat the staff, mainly 16 year olds girls , ON MALES, who work long hours, no breaks, the girls when there do get a break, are not given food or drink , the management put on a tab. which in fact the pub is breaking a few regulations. This is based on... More

Long wait for drinks, child sized plates, two small slices of meat. Empty food containers. Sprouts like bullets, and pale watery gravy !! Ugh !! They had put a very misleading advert in the Echo which said Carvery was two for £15. We were charged £11.95 each !! Advert never mentioned at all about an increase in price for a... More

So we thought we would try the new look sunray. Well I wish we hadn't bothered as both the food and the bottled drinks were bad. Now I like simple food and especially a nice portion of chips however I am still wondering how the chef managed to fit a lorry load of salt on them. I no macdonalds lightly... More
