The food served was excellent and the staff were friendly. Although the outdoor furniture has seen better days. Oh and watch out for the seagulls!

I agree with most of the other negative reviews about this pub! I have visited pub many times over the years, at one time this was the place to be for great food and a buzzing atmosphere....oh dear not anymore! A mid week family birthday meal for 17 people, booked way in advance, was a joke for all the reasons... More

Staying in Osmington so tried to go to the Sunray for a quick drink a Wednesday evening but pub was shut by 10pm. Walked down to the Smugglers Inn and had a lovely relaxing beer on comfy sofa. Others guests in Osmington had mixed reports on Sunray.

We went for lunch and waited 3/4 of an hour before we were told there was a problem with the steamer for the salmon. All we had ordered was fish and chips, burger and salmon ( one of the specials) we had queried the wait after 1/2 an hour and were told it would be 5 mins .This was actually... More

The restaurant is in a nice area but the carvery looked poor. We took the carvery as we did not trust what the food would be like if we ordered off the menu. The carvery was average . We agree with all the recent reviews.

Food here is hot, quick and tasty. But if you are after something a little special then this is not the place for you. Staff and very casually dressed, run between the bar and the kitchen and left our plates for a long time before taking them away. However the food was good and we left happy.

We went there for my Mum's birthday - a party of 12 of us on Bank Holiday Monday (26 May). What surprised when we got there at 1pm in the afternoon the place was virtually empty - it was at most 10% full and at it's maximum about 25% full in the restaurant. The food was generally ok, but the... More

I found this pub very friendly and welcoming. We got a table despite not booking and got tickets for the carvery. The choice was beef, turkey and pork. The beef and pork were both dry and the veg had been sitting there for some time. Still it tasted ok. As the placed filled up and started to get harder and... More

Stopped in on the way back from a Good Friday road trip, it felt it was close to Easter Monday by the time we got out! It used to be one of the top pub / family restaurants in the area but it is now an absolute dive. The wait for food was eternal with not so much as a... More

What a complete let down! We have visited this pub often in the past always a very busy place with friendly staff, good food and a play area for our children to run off energy, our last visit however the pub was practically empty the service was very poor, as was the food and condiments also some members of staff...
