Great Staff Great food

We had tried three pubs in the area to try and get a meal but all were busy so my daughter used an app on her phone and the Nothe Tavern came up so we headed off there. We arrived at about 18.00 and the car park opposite is free after 1800hrs result. First impressions, especially having small... read more

Four adults and two boys......childrens meals are good value and good. All enjoyed our food....I had a Mezze which was very good and the Baked Camembert which one does not find everywhere. Two courses except the boys 4 courses.....including drinks for 2 adults and the boys.......£93.....which we all felt was excellent. One needs to book.

Unless you're travelling by car to get here, an uphill walk is necessary and that, combined with the fact that it's not in the town centre, means that you can usually get a table here with no problems. The menu was a bit on the ordinary side, but OK for pub grub. The beer, on the other hand, wasn't too... More

As visitors to Weymouth, the nothe tavern was recommended and we booked a saturday night The good things were , the staff were excellent and very helpful. The food was good and reasonally priced. The bad things were the whole place could do with some TLC . The restaurant walls could do with a good clean and/or a lick of... More

Good quality, home-cooked food with efficient, attentive staff. Thank you to Chefs Stuart and Jim for quality food. My daughter loves your homemade pasta and the friendly pub-style atmosphere.

We have been going there every couple of months for Sunday lunch carvery for the last three years, we went recently and will not go for a good while now. We know that new owners are taking over soon (we were told this as the reason that they did not have every beer/wine we asked for - running down the... More

I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for your recent visit to the Nothe Tavern. The information you were provided about new owners taking over was completely correct and as of the 7th May myself and my family are now the owners of the Nothe Tavern. I realise that a change of ownership is no excuse for poor... More

A Saturday early evening dinner for adults and children. We sat in the restaurant area with a lovely view over the rooftops. The staff were friendly and efficient. Menu selection had something for everyone, including children. Booking advised at prime times. All of us were very pleased with our selections. Portions are generous. Very good grade of pub fare. We... More

Wanted to book a table for dinner and they did their absolute best to find us a space. Good beer, had a couple of meals there and our issues were that the specials were written up on the board after we had ordered so we couldn't have them and I had a seafood linguine which I really didn't enjoy. The... More

Thank you for your resent review of your visit to the Nothe Tavern. I am very sorry for the delay in the specials going up on that day, in future it might be an idea to ask the waitresses what the specials for the day are as sometimes we are incredibly busy and simply do not have the time to... We visited the Nothe tavern during the bank holiday weekend, we could understand it was going to be busy. When we arrived we got seated straight away by polite and smiling staff, we had a window seat in the Resturant end with lovely views. Another waitress came and got our drink order and came straight back with them to take... More
