Traditional fish and chips

A traditional fish and chip shop with eat in and take away service conveniently located between the station and the sea front. We sat down to eat and the food was good, the service friendly and the prices competitive. We will definitely use it again next time we are in Weymouth.

£8.75 for haddock and chips.... tiny piece of haddock, mostly batter... chips were stale and cold... asked for fresh chips and strongly suspect they were the same ones reheated. We made do as so hungry and tired after travelling. Expensive experience for substandard, mediochre food. This is next to a large fish and chip shop. When asked if it was... More

Quite simply the best chips I have ever tasted. I wish this place was my local chippy. I'll just have to have many moreholidays in Weymouth.

Visited on Sunday for a day trip to Weymouth and decided to buy fish and chips. It was fantastic I had the haddock which was cooked to order. The last time we visited was about five years ago and we eat at the sea chef and it hasn't changed, great food at great value. Can't wait to visit again.

Once again the Sea Chef did not let me down as had friends here for Easter who wanted our best traditional fare of fish and chips. We had a lovely time,we were warmly greeted and the service was jovial and efficient. The restaurant, although not large, is clean and bright. Many thanks to all the staff. Thoroughly recommend to anyone,... More

We stopped here for lunch from a recent stay in Weymouth. We chose this place as it looked busy, which is always a good sign. We weren't disappointed by our choice. The fish was lovely, good size and the batter was cooked to perfection. Not greasy like some places. The chips were good and we all had decent size portions.... More

We try to have Fish and chips here when we visit the town they are be a long way the best we have had there and as for their mushy pea fritters what can I say we have been known to go down from Oxfordshire for the day just to have one. If you have not tried this gem then... More

Conveniently located for the station. This restaurant, next to its partner take-away, has a limited menu - traditional fish and chip restaurant items. My meal was freshly cooked; cod was a good sized piece, and chips crisp. Service was pleasant and unobtrusive, and the premises were spotless.
