Just how fish and chips should be

We stopped here for lunch from a recent stay in Weymouth. We chose this place as it looked busy, which is always a good sign. We weren't disappointed by our choice. The fish was lovely, good size and the batter was cooked to perfection. Not greasy like some places. The chips were good and we all... read more

We try to have Fish and chips here when we visit the town they are be a long way the best we have had there and as for their mushy pea fritters what can I say we have been known to go down from Oxfordshire for the day just to have one. If you have not tried this gem then... More

Conveniently located for the station. This restaurant, next to its partner take-away, has a limited menu - traditional fish and chip restaurant items. My meal was freshly cooked; cod was a good sized piece, and chips crisp. Service was pleasant and unobtrusive, and the premises were spotless.

We are in Weymouth 2 or 3 times every week, and often have a fish and chip lunch which has the added advantage of not having to cook at home in the evening. Having not visited The Sea Chef for some time, we called in for a meal and both settled for the Cod and chips. The fish was excellent.... More

On a rainy day in Weymouth we popped in for chips and i have to say they were great! Hubby had faggots and said they were great! Covered in gravy and full of flavour. My grandson had nuggets and i had curry sauce to dip my chips - delicious! Felt very indulgent! Staff were really happy and courteous. Welcomed us... More

Return visit after 2 years and found it still very good.Grandchildren loved the chicken nuggets and the haddock was excellent.Being Northeners we found the atmosphere service etc. just like it is in many 'chippies up North. Simple well cooked food and not too expensive.Staff friendly and happy to bring shared portions of chips as portions so large. Pity it is... More
