Didn't really like look of this place from the outside but we were pleased we decided to check it out a couple of weeks ago .3 of us all had different vegetarian options which were really good and enormous, I only managed to eat half of mine. Unfortunately opening times are very limited and although it says open 12.00 to... More

While on holiday we went for a meal here. There was a wide choice on the menu. The food was really hot and well presented and tasted great too. The portions were very generous

We have been to the Marquis of Granby many times, this Sunday we were very disappointed, our disappointment must have been obvious as we were not even asked if everything was alright, this was all the more embarrassing as we took special guests with us. Time to look for a new hostelry.

Went with friends and we all had different meals and all were good. Good choice of food and friendly service with ample but not enormous portions. Nice surroundings and a pleasant atmosphere.

Went for lunch today with my elderly mum and her older brother and my 2 cousins. 4 of us had the carvery which was beef or turkey. The turkey was a little bit dry, but all the same very tasty. The beef was succulent and tender as were the veggies and yorkshires. Plenty of choice and very accommodating. I'm following... More

Portions are very generous. Decent menu and very tasty food. Good quick service even when they are very busy. I recommend the salmon, offered with a choice of new potatoes or fries, plus peas, salad or veg. Delicious. I always leave with a satisfyingly full tummy. One of my favourite places to eat.

The skate wings were the biggest I've ever eaten, very tasty and at £13.50 extremely reasonably priced. We looked for the price of side orders but found the price included boiled potatoes or chips or peas/salad/mixed vegetables. Our companion had a ham salad and she couldn't eat all of the large portion of ham. Service was friendly and speedy. The... More

Popped in for a quick Saturday bite to eat with the parents. Venue looks dated from the exterior/design but is well appointed inside. Nice menu selection - not overly fancy, plenty of seafood specials on the board and ensured a fresh dish of whatever takes your fancy. The salads (although looking pricey at circa £10) are excellent and there is... More

Thought we would give this restaurant a go as bored with the Campsite's offering. Checked the reviews however thought we'd take a punt! Good job we did. The food was amazing, delicious, huge portions and very good value, cheaper than the campsite! I had the Homemade Lasagne that was a meal in itself, however came with a whole garlic baguette... More
