My boyfriend and I were on our way home and stopped off in Weymouth! After walking around town and having a go in the amusement we decided to have lunch here. It looked pleasant so we went in. The staff we're polite, the food was average, maybe a little over priced but it was clean and worked for us for... More

I visited Weymouth on a short trip and spotted the cafe by the seafront. There wasn't an abundance of choice so the little cafe with outdoor seating seemed ideal. The service was very good, with the man behind the till adjusting my order slightly so it was more to my liking, and the staff waiting on tables were polite and... More

Nice, light and clean. Food is nice though I wouldn't say it was any more special then any of the other cafes on the sea front yet is more expensive then most for some reason. Didn't have to wait long for food, though it was only was a salad and sandwiches ordered so wouldn't expect a long wait. There always... More

I have given this place "average" because although it is in an ideal location, it hardly seems to be open. Core hours are 10.30 to 4.30 - which means it misses a lot of the breakfast trade and teatime customers. It seems such a shame because the food is actually very good, though a little pricey. Chairs are put out... More

How kind and such great quality and value for money. Every year we come to visit this is our favorite place to eat. The staff are really good with small fussy children! and the food is excellent value for money and a firm favourit now with our family. My daughter is very specific and won't eat in many places however... More

Dropped in as it was raining hard to a pleasant welcome and a clean environment. It is not a cheap greasy spoon but somewhere on the the seafront which sells wonderful fresh food. Staff were attentive and friendly without being in your face. The Portland crab was fantastic as was the luxury hot chocolate on a cold wet day. Homemade... More

Great spot on the front albeit the views are better when sat outside overlooking the sea. Great value and a good quality honest breakfast/brunch. 2nd visit in as many months, not many better places in Weymouth offering such value and quality. A definite recommendation

We had to return to ‘The Cactus Tearoom’ after visiting last year and this is the first place we returned to. The same menu as last year and specials are still available on the boards outside. We opted for the cheese/ bacon toasties and tuna mayo sandwich on brown with a side of chips. We had a bottle of Becks... More

We've been to this tea room on many previous years on our holidays but this was my first year as a coeliac and I was anxious about finding places that offered gluten free food, and were also dog friendly (campers can't leave dogs at home!). The Cactus scored well on both counts. On fine days there is plenty of outside... More
