I went for lunch with friends. It was a lovely sunny day and the outside tables were full but even from inside the view across Weymouth Bay was fantastic. The place itself is rather tired looking but the food and service cannot be faulted. The menu is varied and caters for a light bite or something more substantial. The dressed... More

This was a welcome surprise on a visit to Weymouth. A friendly welcome excellent fish choice and we'll presented. The decor was good and all tables clean and we'll laid out. We sat outside which provided an extra dimension.

We have eaten here numerous times over the years in the evening The food has always been excellent and the service perfect. It isn't cheap but in compares extremely well with the likes of Floods and Crab House cafe but gives more non fish choice. Yes the decor is a bit dated but that is part of its charm. They... More

We had just arrived in Weymouth at Sunday lunchtime and wanted a bite to eat. The menu at Hamiltons appealed as did the outdoor seating. (There were just four tables.) The road in front is mainly used by people hoping to park and doesn't have through traffic. The beach is some 40 metres away and the pier is nearby. I... More

Ok it looks unpromising at first glance BUT food excellent staff friendly. First lunchtime we had a seafood assiette which comprised dressed crab, baked mussels(delish), cured salmon, prawns and onion bread(warm) and grilled goats cheese with tomato and rocket salad with balsamic dressing. So good we went back for lunch and had deep fried sardines and twice cooked chips. Lovely... More

We ate on Hamilton's out-front patio on a lovely evening in June while on holiday in Weymouth. The food was good, though maybe a tad pricey, and the service was decent though not overly attentive. We appreciated having our supper and then just going "home" to our b&b next door!

Ate here once. Attracted by simple, fairly priced menu. Service & food were good. Wine prices a bit high but so were most of the opposition.

We hadn't booked and struggled to find somewhere to eat on Saturday night and having been turned away a surprising number of times we stumbled across The Hamiltons. Small and quiet but right on the beach the friendly staff found us a table quickly. Whilst the menu choices were limited, the food service was quick and everything was of high... More

Weymouth is not the most exhilarating of places but this restaurant is a jewel. We came upon it by pure chance since it is on the fringe of the tourist area but we are glad we did. The chef was trained in London and it shows, the use of fresh herbs and the imaginative way the meals were put together... More
