Maybe it was because we were a big party or maybe it was a busy night, but the service was very poor, the food was ok, not great just ok. I don't think any of us will go back in a hurry.

We visited twice in December and it was fine but a number of menu items were not available and on second occasion so much was not available we just had ou drinks and when to the Lazy Lizard to eat. In the New Year a sign appeared to say the Statue House had closed and was being re-opened with a... More

I have been to here several times over the past two years, once for a party and other times for meals. I was also lucky to win a raffle prize for a meal for two. I have always enjoyed the meals otherwise I would not return for more and I have always found the staff to be pleasant and friendly.

Living in Weymouth we decided to try out the Tapas restaurant, being a Monday night we were not expecting it busy, but were slightly taken aback when entering the waiter was sat down reading a book and only got up when we asked fir a table !anyway we ordered our tapas. all sounded tempting, after waiting nearly 30 mins for... Walked in off street looking for table for two and were warned that there was a big party in so would be a wait for food. Were given a table and waited to order drinks. Eventually got 2 warm G&t's (no ice or lemon) and some bread and olives. Waiting staff saw those and seemed to think we had ordered.... More

....unfortunately the menu we looked at was in the window. When we got inside we were shown a different menu and all the items that would have been good for kids were missing! The lady told us that they hadn't got round to taking the menu out of the window yet. So we left without eating. It's a real shame... More

We liked this place. We popped in for a light lunch and went back for dinner the next night. We particularly liked the nachos with spicy bean stew, the patatas bravas and the spinach tortilla - and the view. This is not a top class establishment, but it is a place with it's own identity that does what it does... More

Went here for a friends birthday, was a nice evening, food was good and the bill was very reasonable for the amount of food and drinks we ordered. Would recommend to others.

The Statue house offers a combination of tapas and Mediterranean inspired snacks at reasonable prices in great location on seafront. The interior and toilets are a bit scruffy but it’s clean and functional and service is generally prompt. Probably better for lunchtime snacks and meals than evening dinner unless you are on a budget and want something a bit different.... More
