Absolutely Amazing!

My family and I are from Australia and were looking forward to some english fish and chips. We got lost trying to find this place for about an hour and when we got there the eating in room was closed. They opened it up just for us when we told them how long it took us to get there. They... read more

We went there and after ordering our food we thought it might be nice to sit in and eat it so we asked the staff. Their answer was 'NO!!'. After that another staff member told us we actually could but they would have to take our food off us and plate it then re serve it in the restaurant on... More

I visited the chip shop today and I must say the service was appalling I live in Weymouth not far from here and use Marlboro a lot and until now have never had cause to complain I do not appreciate having my food thrown on the counter unopened when I asked for it to be wrapped and put in a... We are at the Marlboro based on the reviews here. Not sure it deserves the rave reviews. Fish was tasty, but the chips were decidedly bleurgh. Really tasteless and dry. We ate in, so maybe takeaway is better. Nice mushy peas though.

Classic large cod & chips with curry sauce for hubby - steak & kidney pie, chips with mushy peas for me, definitely worth the 80 mile trip to enjoy such a feast. The staff are pleasant, welcoming and efficient. The tables are wiped over between each meal and seats are swiftly filled with more eager diners. The takeaway chippie also... More

If you want great fish and chips then this is the place to go. My wife had cod which was lovely, and I had the mackerel bap. Both meals were extremely well flavoured and as fresh as you can imagine. A tad overpriced but a all round good experience

Top notch fish and chips with mushy peas, dealt with 20 people turning up demanding to be served very well and not expensive, thanks.

After reading various reviews I opted for Marlboro for a take away dinner- it was a wise choice. The Mackerel bap was an absolute delight, as was the homemade sweet chilli crab cake. Both were cooked just right avoiding the cardinal sin of being over cooked. The chips were decent too. Recommended!
