I was very excited to be going to dinner here but it didnt quite live up to the hype or expectation. Lovely service but felt quite rushed as I like longer between courses. To be fair they had told us they needed the table for 8 and they may have been worried. We shared 6 oysters italian, I thought this... More

Limited menu, fresh ok food. Portions good. Venue is shack like as described but priced for west end. Basic bottle wine £25, Small pollock main £20. Chips extra at £4 portion. Come on! Good novelty factor. A good but once only experience.

We went for lunch and had Portland shrimp as a starter and mussels farmed just out the window of the restaurant as a main. Food was fantastic. Luckily the weather was nice because we hadn't booked and there were no free tables inside.

There aren't many times when I wish I had the ability to eat everything on a menu, but this was one of them! The Crab House has been lauded and applauded in just about every major, national newspaper and the accolades are well deserved. The crab and fish here are so fresh and so beautifully cooked that it's extremely hard... More

Arguably the best and most authentic seafood restaurant anyone could wish to visit. Fantastic location oozing with seaside atmosphere.

Booked here after reading previous TP reviews as wanted a nice place to eat when visiting Weymouth on business. The restaurant is at the end of a track along the edge of the beach and at 1st sight makes you feel that you’re not in the right place. However, for those that may know other similar establishments such as the... More

This is a very unpretentious and straight forward fish restaurant, BUT WOW, what fabulous fresh fish and sea food. Four of us were there for lunch on a windy and damp day, but this retaurant really lifted our moods. The fish couldn't have been fresher or better cooked and the service and rustic environment are great. Whilst this wasn't a... More

Had a very enjoyable lunch - the freshest oysters and crab - loved the Chinese crab (not a first date meal, so lucky I was with my husband!). Staff very friendly and you can see Chef Nigel Bloxham working in the open kitchen. Ran into the guy delivering the fish in the car park who said it was the best... More

We nearly didn't go into this restaurant as it looked as though it was a few sheds behind a block of flats. How very wrong we were. It was an amazing restaurant on the beach. We got there just at lunchtime opening and within half an hour, the place was absolutely full. The food was spectacular and very fresh -... More
