Lovely Midweek Meal!

Popped along to the Red Well this week for a catch up with family. The pub is a well established eating place in the town and served me up some really nice food. We went along on a weekday and the service was excellent. Although the pub was empty, we were politely served by a young gentleman who... read more

Just been for a meal @ the Red Well We arrived at approx 3.50pm and informed that only roast dinners were available, so my wife and I ordered 2 x beef, although ideally we would have preferred a greater choice from the menu. At 4.10pm a family came in and sat at the table close to ours and were handed... More

A nice, quiet, friendly pub with a good atmosphere. The menu was ok with a variety of meals to choose from. I had their Parmo which was probably the best I've tried. Perhaps the menu could have done with a few more simple meals but that's just personal preference. The deserts were unappetisingly served in what looked like small jam... More

We went here for lunch on a week day and was surprised to find it quite full. A pleasant surprise as sometimes pubs are devoid of people at lunchtimes. Good choice of food that is well presented and mid week there is an offer on for two meals for £16 which is excellent value. Very pleasent staff that are helpful... More

Me and my boyfriends family visited this bank holiday just gone. The bar staff were very polite and welcoming upon our arrival. We were seated away from everyone else we were a table of 16 and we would be noisy - this was nice. As we were such a large table we had to pre-order, despite this, the downside was... More

This pub is very close to my work, and, from its ownward demeanour, I'd always imagined it to be very ordinary. But a meal yesterday for a group of 15 of us really surprised me - great selection of meals (excellent mains and desserts), well preopared and fairly priced. Only real downside (and the loss of a star!) is the... More

After calling in to The Red Well Inn on the off chance of a Sunday lunch, we were greeted by lovely friendly staff, after being told that we had to book a table we were really disappointed but the staff shuffled things around and found us a table. We got told that we would have quiet a wait as they... More
